Fortnite Overwatch Collab Skins

Guides

Fortnite meets Overwatch: when legends collide, a new battleground awaits. Release dates, skins, and hidden twists-brace for impact.

In this vast library of crossovers, the Fortnite Overwatch collab has been one of the most demanded collabs among players. If the new leaks are to be believed, this long-awaited crossover could finally become a reality after Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1. Here’s everything we know about the collab so far.

When Does Fortnite Overwatch Collab Release?

Epic Games is expected to release the Fortnite x Overwatch collaboration in late February 2026, though the exact date has not been confirmed. Leaks from reliable Fortnite data miners suggest that the update featuring the crossover content will arrive with the next major patch. Players can anticipate themed skins, cosmetics, and limited-time challenges inspired by popular Overwatch heroes when the event goes live.

The Fortnite Overwatch collab will release on March 19, 2026, alongside the release of Chapter 7 Season 2. While this date has not been confirmed by Epic Games yet, leaks heavily suggest that Overwatch characters will be featured in the next Fortnite Battle Pass.

Fortnite Overwatch Collab Expected Skins and Prices

The Fortnite and Overwatch crossover is expected to introduce a selection of skins inspired by popular Overwatch heroes such as Tracer, Genji, Reinhardt, and Mercy. Each character will likely feature a Fortnite-style redesign while keeping their recognizable gear and color schemes. Prices are anticipated to follow previous collaboration trends, with individual skins costing around 1,500 V-Bucks and bundles ranging between 2,000 and 2,800 V-Bucks, depending on included accessories like back blings, pickaxes, and emotes.

Overwatch has a library of some of the most memorable characters in shooter games, and players will be excited to know that, according to Twitter, the Fortnite Overwatch collab will feature 4 different characters. As of now, the only characters we know will be getting a skin are Tracer and D.Va.

As mentioned earlier, one of the Overwatch skins is rumoured to be featured in the new Fortnite season Battle Pass, possibly as the Chapter 7 Season 2 secret skin. Tracer seems like the perfect candidate for this, as she is the face of the Overwatch franchise. Players can expect Tracer to feature multiple styles, possibly both her Overwatch 1 and Overwatch 2 looks, alongside her iconic Pulse Bomb as a back bling.

D.Va, on the other hand, could be one of the more interesting Fortnite skins added in recent times. For those who don’t know, D.Va pilots her own mech in Overwatch, and if Epic Games were to implement the mech into Fortnite somehow, it could end up as one of the coolest and most unique cosmetics yet. Epic could take the Fortnite Overwatch collab to the next level and maybe even bring in D.Va’s mech as a vehicle in Chapter 7.

As with previous gaming legends skins, each Overwatch skin is expected to be priced around 1,500 – 1,800 V-Bucks. Since the collab will feature 4 characters, at least 3 of these new skins might be packaged into their own Hero bundles for around 2,200 – 2,600 V-Bucks in the Fortnite Item Shop. Finally, players can also expect an Overwatch mega bundle that includes all skins and is priced around 4,500 – 5,500 V-Bucks.

Fortnite Overwatch skins list and rarity details

Right now there is no fully confirmed, final list of Fortnite x Overwatch skins or their exact rarities, so anything circulating is still subject to change.

From current leaks and reports, here is what’s generally expected so far:

  • Tracer: Widely reported as one of the main Overwatch outfits planned for the collab, likely in the Gaming Legends-style tier (roughly equivalent to Epic/Legendary pricing around 1,500-1,800 V-Bucks).

  • D.Va: Frequently mentioned alongside Tracer as a featured skin, also expected to be in a premium rarity tier similar to past gaming crossovers.

  • Other heroes: Articles and videos reference additional Overwatch heroes joining later waves or bundles, but they do not yet list a definitive, official roster or confirm rarities for each skin.

How rarity will likely work (based on past collabs and current info):

  • Most Overwatch outfits will probably be tagged as high-tier cosmetic rarities (Epic/Legendary-equivalent) and priced like other Gaming Legends collabs.

  • Expect matching cosmetic sets (back blings, pickaxes, emotes) that share the same or adjacent rarity tiers to the associated skin.

Because Epic has not published an in-game collection or official blog post listing every Overwatch cosmetic yet, there is no reliable, complete skin list or precise rarity breakdown. If you’d like, once the collab is fully revealed I can help you build a clean table (skin, hero, rarity, price, how to unlock) as soon as those details are officially announced.

How to get Fortnite Overwatch skins

You will be able to get the Fortnite Overwatch skins in a few different ways, similar to other big gaming collabs, with some specifics already hinted at by current info and leaks.

Main ways to unlock the skins

  • Battle Pass unlock
At least one Overwatch skin (very likely Tracer) is expected to be part of the Chapter 7 Season 2 Battle Pass as a “secret” or special collab skin, so you’ll unlock it by buying that season’s Battle Pass and completing the required quests/levels.

  • Item Shop purchases
The collab is expected to feature four Overwatch skins total, with the remaining ones sold in the Item Shop as standard outfits or “Hero bundles,” priced similarly to other Gaming Legends skins.
Individual Overwatch skins are expected to cost around 1,500-1,800 V-Bucks, with 3-skin Hero bundles likely around 2,200-2,600 V-Bucks.

  • Mega bundle option
A larger “mega bundle” that includes all (or most) of the Overwatch collab skins and cosmetics is expected, with a projected price in the 4,500-5,500 V-Bucks range.

Practical steps once the collab drops

  • Buy and level the relevant Battle Pass so you can unlock the Overwatch skin slotted into it (probably via special quests or secret-skin page).

  • Check the Item Shop daily once the collab starts, as Tracer, D.Va, and any other Overwatch heroes will rotate in through featured sections and bundles.

  • If you want everything, save V-Bucks ahead of time so you can grab the expected mega bundle, which will usually be cheaper than buying each skin separately.

If you tell me your budget in V-Bucks and whether you plan to buy the Chapter 7 Season 2 Battle Pass, I can suggest the most efficient route (Battle Pass only, single bundles, or the mega bundle) once everything is officially confirmed.
