Guides

Rumors swirl as Fortnite teases a South Park crossover, with leaked skins of Cartman, Kyle, and Stan poised to drop alongside explosive Mythic weapons-exact release date incoming.

As Winterfest 2025 draws to a close, we have compiled all of the information we have about the Fortnite South Park collab, which could impact the gameplay a lot more than some of the previous crossovers.

When Does the Fortnite South Park Collab Release?

Epic Games is expected to launch the Fortnite x South Park collaboration in early February 2026, according to recent leaks from reliable dataminers. While an exact date has not been officially confirmed, in-game files and teasers hint at the update arriving with the next major patch. Players can anticipate themed cosmetics, new quests, and possibly mythic items tied to the crossover, making it one of the season’s most anticipated events.

As of now, there are no confirmed reports around the release date of the Fortnite South Park crossover. However, according to recent leaks from prominent leakers like Twitter, the South Park collab may release with the next Fortnite update, patch 39.20, on January 9, 2025. However, there’s quite a possibility it might as well be scheduled for a later update, which is 39.30 sometime later this month.

Initial reports suggested that the South Park collaboration would release right after The Simpsons mini-season. However, Epic Games seemingly pushed it to give players some breathing room between animated collabs.

Fortnite South Park Collab Leaked Skins and Cosmetics

Leaks point to South Park skins like Cartman, Kyle, Stan, and Kenny joining Fortnite’s roster, complete with themed cosmetics such as back blings, pickaxes, and gliders inspired by the show’s antics. Expect emotes capturing iconic moments from the series alongside wraps and contrails for vehicles. These items surfaced in recent datamining, hinting at a full collab drop soon. Epic Games has yet to confirm details, but the files match ongoing rumors. Players anticipate bundle pricing around past crossovers.

Twitter, the collab will see iconic South Park characters as “mech skins.” This means that players could see Cartman, Stan, Kyle, and Kenny using armored suits when they come to the game. Mech skins aren’t anything new in Fortnite. Epic Games usually uses mech skins for characters with disproportionate designs so that they can fit into the world of Fortnite better.

So far, the leaks only named Cartman, Stan, Kyle, and Kenny as the possible skins in this collab. However, other members from the cast could show up in the Item Shop later, much like Krusty the Clown during The Simpsons crossover.

Fortnite South Park Collab Leaked Mythic Weapons

Recent leaks hint that the Fortnite x South Park event will introduce new Mythic weapons inspired by the show’s characters and humor. Early datamines suggest items based on Cartman’s and Kenny’s abilities, offering unique combat effects that fit the crossover’s chaotic style. Players can expect these Mythics to tie into themed quests and limited-time modes, making them standout additions to the collaboration.

Apart from the skins, players can also expect exclusive Mythic items with this new crossover. This includes a Mythic weapon based on the Twitter, the iconic artifact from the 2014 RPG ‘South Park: The Stick of Truth’ by Obsidian Entertainment. What makes this Mythic special is that it will apparently not just deal damage, but also be capable of modifying the storm in some way. Right now, it isn’t clear how the storm modification will work. However, using the Stick of Truth could lead to some interesting competitive plays in Chapter 7 Season 1.

Other than the Stick of Truth, players can also expect a new Rift Anomaly titled “Everyone Kills Kenny” during the collab. Leaks also hint at a respawn medallion, which would allow players to revive without the use of a Reboot Van. The new Rift Anomaly and respawn medallion may complement each other during gameplay, triggering an event that references one of South Park’s long-running gags.

Additionally, the collab could also see the addition of a South Park NPC/Boss and a brand-new consumable. However, details regarding these are still heavily under wraps.

Additional Cosmetics

What is the Stick of Truth mythic item

The Stick of Truth is a Mythic utility item from the Fortnite x South Park “Born in Chaos” collaboration.

Functionality

Players activate it to place a beacon at their location, forcing the storm circle to immediately close in on that spot with a 3:20 timer, followed by 10 DPS damage and a final 0:30 countdown before match end. The circle remains invisible to others, providing a strategic edge, but the item can only be used once per match and cannot be used inside the storm.

How to Obtain

It spawns rarely (around 6% chance) as a rift anomaly marked by a stick icon on the map, appearing on a pedestal with a red cushion, similar to past Mythic spawns like katanas. Grabbing it first is competitive, as it’s limited per match and tied to South Park quests.
