And getting inside the room can be a lot more difficult than you think. In this guide, we have mentioned how you can obtain the Demonic Pickaxe in The Forge and whether it’s worth buying or not.
How to Obtain the Demonic Pickaxe in The Forge
The Demonic Pickaxe in The Forge is hidden behind a Demonite Key door in the Volcanic Depths; obtain the key by giving three Demonite ores to the Demon Skal, then use the key to enter the room and purchase the pickaxe for a hefty sum, unlocking its 175 mining power, 3-ore mining capability, and enhanced luck bonuses.
The Demonic Pickaxe can be found on a throne inside the Demonic Pickaxe Room in The Forge. Getting there requires a specific race, so grab yourself The Forge codes early on. That said, the Demonic Pickaxe Room is locked behind a door at the end of the Volcanic Depths in the Forgotten Kingdom.
To get there, you first need to unlock the Forgotten Kingdom by using the Portal Tool. Once you’re in the Forgotten Kingdom, interacting with the canon near the spawn will launch you in front of the Ruined Caves. Before you head inside, equip yourself using the best weapon recipes and armor recipes, as there are a lot of fearsome enemies.
Once inside the Ruined Caves, take a right turn to reach the Ashen Passage. At the end of the passage, you’ll see a Magma Pickaxe on the right and two Basalt Veins beside it. Use The Forge pickaxes with more than 78 damage to break it or dash through the openings.
Once you reach the Volcanic Depths, turn right and keep moving forward until you find an ominous black door. On your way, you’ll find Elite Rogue Skeletons and Blazing Slimes. You can either avoid or defeat them to get resources like runes and essences. Avoid walking on the flowing lava as it will burn you. By now, you must be standing in front of the door to the Demonic Pickaxe Room.
How to Enter the Demonic Pickaxe Room
To reach the Demonic Pickaxe Room in The Forge, head to the lower mineshaft past the lava pits. Activate the three rune switches in this order: blue near the entrance, red by the collapsed tunnel, green above the magma pool using a grapple hook. A hidden door slides open once all glow active. Enter quickly before the heat wave resets them. Grab the pickaxe from the central altar inside.
As of now, the only possible way to get inside the Demonic Pickaxe Room is by glitching inside it. There are no alternative ways or quests to get inside it. However, the developers might add another way in the next update.
As said, you can get inside the Demonic Pickaxe Room using glitches. Currently, we have tried two glitches, and both of them worked for us.
- Demon Race Glitch: To use this glitch, you must have a Demon race. If you don’t have it, then use our The Forge Codes to get some free rerolls. Once you have a Demon race equipped, spam jump and Demon Dash on the door. You can either do it by forward dashing or backward dashing towards the door. Spam the dash multiple times, and if it still doesn’t work, then restart your game and try again.
- Portal Dash Glitch: This one can be used by any player and doesn’t require a particular race in The Forge. To perform this glitch, equip your portal and place it in front of the Demonic Pickaxe Room gate. Run towards the gate, and start dashing as soon as you place the portal. The portal spawning should push you through the door. This can be a bit difficult to execute, but you’ll get better after trying it a few times.

There’s no 100% guarantee that the glitches can work, and you might need to try a lot to get inside. Make sure that you use these two glitches before they get patched in the next update.
Once you’re inside, you’ll see the red coloured Demonic Pickaxe on top of a black throne.
The Forge Demonic Pickaxe Stats
The Demonic Pickaxe in The Forge offers outstanding stats for mining rare ores and breaking through reinforced materials. It boasts a high mining speed and increased durability compared to standard pickaxes, allowing longer use before repair is needed. Its built-in demonic energy grants a bonus to resource yield, with a small chance to extract extra rare fragments from certain ore veins. Upgrading it further enhances both strength and extraction rate, making it one of the most powerful tools for players focusing on advanced mining tasks.
The Demonic Pickaxe in The Forge can be purchased for a massive amount of $500,000. This is currently the most expensive Pickaxe, which justifies the fact that it has some of the best stats in the game.

Demonic Pickaxe has the highest Mining Power in the game. While the mining speed is a bit lower, you can always work around using potions, totems, and Miner Shard runes.
Should You Buy the Demonic Pickaxe in The Forge?
The Demonic Pickaxe is a powerful but situational tool in The Forge. Its high mining speed and bonus damage against enchanted ores make it valuable for advanced players who seek rare materials or faster resource gathering. However, its crafting cost and durability can be steep for casual miners. If you frequently explore high-level zones or farm rare ores, it’s a strong investment. Otherwise, more accessible picks can serve you just as well for everyday mining tasks.
The Demonic Pickaxe is arguably one of the best Pickaxes in the Forge. As discussed, it has some of the best stats in the game and works best when combined with mining speed boosting races, potions, and totems.

How to get Demonite ores in Volcanic Depths
Demonite ores drop rarely from Volcanic Rocks in the Volcanic Depths area of the Forgotten Kingdom in The Forge.
Requirements
A pickaxe with at least 100 Mining Power (like the Lightite Pickaxe) is needed to break Volcanic Rocks effectively; earlier estimates mentioned 78+ but sources confirm 100+ for reliable mining.
The base drop rate is very low at about 1 in 3,666 per rock, so expect significant grinding for the 3 ores required for Demon Skal’s quest.
