Genshin Impact Iluga Kit Explanation

  • Scaling: DEF and EM
  • Off-field Geo Applier: Iluga’s skill summons a bird that attacks nearby enemies and applies Geo on them. The bird follows the on-field character, making Iluga a strong off-field Geo applier. This skill works similarly to Fischl’s ability.
  • Buffs Geo Damage: Iluga’s ultimate increases the Geo damage of all allies based on his Elemental Mastery. He additionally increases Lunar Crystalize damage, making him perfect for Zibai teams. Also, if Geo constructs are created before or during his burst, it makes him further increase the Geo damage.
  • Geo and Hydro Synergy: His passive increases the Geo damage of the team while also granting additional Crit Rate and Damage. Also, the more Hydro or Geo characters are in his party, the more Geo damage he increases based on his EM during his elemental burst.

What are Illuga’s best weapon options

Illuga’s best weapons prioritize Elemental Mastery (EM) for his Geo damage buffs or Energy Recharge (ER) for Burst uptime in Geo/Lunar-Crystallize teams.

Top Weapons

Dragon’s Bane stands out as the premier EM option due to its high base EM substat, directly boosting Illuga’s Nightingale’s Song buffs for teammates. Favonius Lance ranks highly for ER and particle generation, ensuring consistent Burst rotations and team energy support. Kitain Cross Spear serves as a strong F2P EM alternative with HP and healing utility.

F2P Alternatives

Prototype Starglitter and The Catch provide accessible ER with minor damage perks, ideal for budget builds without sacrificing Burst reliability. These options maintain Illuga’s role as a Geo amplifier alongside Zibai.

5-Star Options

Engulfing Lightning excels for maximum ER and ATK scaling in premium setups, while Skyward Spine adds speed and minor AoE for versatile teams. Prioritize based on team energy needs over raw damage.

Compare Favonius Lance vs Dragon’s Bane for Illuga

Favonius Lance and Dragon’s Bane both rank among Illuga’s top 4-star polearms, but they serve different priorities in his Geo support role focused on buffs via Elemental Mastery (EM) and Burst uptime.

Stats Comparison

Weapon Base ATK (Lv.90) Substat Passive Effect
Favonius Lance +61.3% ER CRIT hits generate particles (up to 100% chance at R5, 6 energy each, 6s cooldown)
Dragon’s Bane +221 EM +36% DMG vs Hydro/Pyro-affected enemies at R5

Favonius Lance offers higher base ATK and ER for reliable Burst access, while Dragon’s Bane prioritizes EM to amplify Illuga’s Nightingale’s Song Geo buffs.

Performance for Illuga

Favonius Lance excels in energy-hungry teams with Zibai, generating particles for 100% Burst uptime even off-field, making it BiS if ER sands are unavailable. Dragon’s Bane outperforms in EM-focused builds for maximum team buffs, especially outside Hydro/Pyro teams where its passive adds little value. Choose Favonius for battery roles or Dragon’s Bane if artifacts cover ER needs.
