How to Get Safari Egg in Grow a Garden
The Safari Egg in Grow a Garden can be obtained during the special Safari event or through mystery boxes that appear in the shop for a limited time. Players can also earn it by completing themed quests or exchanging event tokens collected from specific gardening activities. Keep an eye on seasonal updates, as the Safari Egg often returns during recurring events, giving everyone another chance to add it to their collection.
There are 3 primary ways to get a Safari Egg in Grow a Garden. This includes contributing to the Safari Harvest Event that requires no money, then comes the Safari Shop that requires some Sheckles, and lastly the in-game shop that requires real money. With that said, here is a detailed description of all the said methods:
1. From Contributing to Safari Harvest Event
In this method, you must go to the central area and interact with the Safari Joyce NPC. There, you can view the plants required by seeing the NPC’s thinking box above her head. Harvest the required plant types and submit all of them to increase global Safari Harvest points.
This way, you will get a random Safari reward for every 2000 points you contribute to this event. However, the chance to get a Safari Egg from these rewards can be as low as 4.23% or even 0.85% (for 3 eggs). Therefore, you might need to do the whole multiple times to finally get an egg.

2. Purchasing From Safari Shop
If the first method seems like taking a lot of consideration, contribute to the Harvest Event enough times to unlock the Safari Egg in the event shop. This shop lies just to the right of the central event area.
Here, you must first interact with the Wilderness Will NPC to view the list of items in the shop. The Safari Egg will be right at the top, so buy it using some Sheckles.
At times, the egg might not be available in stock, so you’ll need to wait for an hour, 45 minutes, or even less, depending on the global Safari Harvest points accumulated by that time.
3. From In-Game Shop
Lastly, you can buy the Safari Egg from the in-game shop, which requires you to spend some Robux. Here you can buy 1, 3, or even up to 10 eggs, depending on how much cash you have. Here is the price listed for how many eggs you can buy at a time:
- 1 Pack: 149 Robux
- 3 Pack: 429 Robux
- 10 Pack: 1249 Robux
The only good thing about spending Robux here is that you get a Premium Safari Egg. This one has a pity system where opening every 125 eggs gives you a chance to get any of the Safari pets with a Rainbow mutation, or simply a guaranteed divine pet on every 100 eggs you open.
Best Pets to Get From Safari Egg
Some of the best pets from the Safari Egg are the Lion, Elephant, and Giraffe, each offering unique charm and collectible value. The Lion stands out for its regal design and rarity, while the Elephant draws attention with its friendly animations and size. The Giraffe, with its tall frame and distinct coloring, has become a favorite among players who enjoy showing off rare finds in their garden setups.
Having tested all the Safari pets in the game, we think that each of them has great passives, and if you have more than five slots, we recommend placing all Safari Egg pets at once. However, if you have limited slots, we suggest keeping the following pets in your farm:
- Rhino: Ignoring the Elephant in the egg, we suggest you get the Rhino instead, since it can reduce your egg hatch speed by a lot of time and even apply one of the best mutations in this event.
- Giraffe: This pet has multiple abilities that can trigger at once. Therefore, multiple fruits can get mutated at a single time, and the same plant will advance in its growth as well.
- Oxpecker: Although it’s of lower rarity, it can help other pets get a reduced trait cooldown.
Which Safari pet has the best passive for farming boost
The Rhino stands out as the Safari pet with the best passive for farming boosts in Grow a Garden.
Why Rhino Excels
Rhino reduces egg hatch times significantly while applying the powerful Mirage mutation to fruits and eggs.
This directly speeds up pet acquisition and enhances crop value through mutations, making it ideal for efficient farming loops.
Players often rank it as a top pick for overall farm progression over other Safari pets like Giraffe or Zebra.
Comparison to Other Safari Pets
| Pet | Farming Passive Summary | Strength for Boosts |
|---|---|---|
| Oxpecker | Cuts cooldowns on Safari pet abilities | Supportive, not direct farm boost |
| Zebra | Triggers stampede for event rewards | Situational item farming |
| Giraffe | Advances growth + Arid mutation | Strong growth aid, but narrower than Rhino |
| Rhino | Faster hatches + Mirage mutation | Best for egg/crop farming |
| Elephant | Resets pet ages for reuse | Utility, minimal direct farm impact |
Rhino’s hatch acceleration pairs best with high-volume egg strategies during events.
Which Safari pet gives the highest coin per minute boost
The Giraffe provides the highest coin per minute boost among Safari Egg pets in Grow a Garden.
Giraffe’s Passive Edge
Every 15 minutes, Giraffe targets a tall fruit (10+ studs), sells it for 1.53x its value, advances the plant’s growth by 1 hour 7 minutes, and applies Arid mutation to other fruits on that plant.
This combo of instant high-value sales, growth acceleration, and mutations maximizes coin output per cycle, outperforming direct hatch or cooldown effects from peers.
Players prioritize it for sustained CPM during farming sessions over Rhino’s egg focus or Elephant’s utility.
CPM Comparison
| Pet | Key Coin Effect | CPM Strength |
|---|---|---|
| Oxpecker | Cooldown reduction | Indirect support |
| Zebra | Stampede rewards | Event-specific items |
| Giraffe | 1.53x fruit sale + mutations | Highest direct CPM |
| Rhino | Mirage mutation + hatches | Crop value, but slower |
| Elephant | Pet age resets | Minimal coin impact |
Giraffe shines in gardens with tall, high-value fruits for optimal loops.
