Fisch: Catching Ashclaw Guide – Location Rods Bait More

Guides

Ashclaw has vanished into Fisch’s shadowy reefs, but the bravest hunters can track its glow, outsmart the traps, and claim a rare catch that could redefine your Roblox mischief.

How to Find Ashclaw Location in Fisch

Head to Roslit Volcano in Roslit Bay and wait for the eruption event to trigger, which spawns the Ashclaw near the central pillar amid the lava. Coordinates -1945, 275, 230 pinpoint the spot using Fisch GPS. Access requires a rod like Magma Rod or one with Invincible enchantment, as the creature only appears during this random occurrence.

Despite having the regionless tag, the Ashclaw can only be caught inside the Roslit Volcano. However, the crab king will not always be there. Players must wait for the eruption event to occur. Once it happens, the Ashclaw will be available near the pillar in the middle of the Roslit Volcano lava.

You can also use the Fisch GPS and go to these coordinates: -1945, 275, 230, to find the Ashclaw. While the eruption can trigger naturally, the Fisch totems will not help in speeding up the process. However, the more players fish in the volcano, the better the odds are for the eruption to happen.

Tips and Tricks to Catch the Ashclaw in Fisch

Use bait that attracts rare aquatic creatures and wait near rocky areas where Ashclaw tends to spawn more often. Equip stronger fishing rods to reduce escape chances and keep your camera focus steady during the catch mini-game. Watch for water ripples that appear larger or move irregularly, as these usually indicate Ashclaw activity. Try different times of day, since some players report higher success at dusk within specific biomes.

Now that you have all the information on where to find this beast, it’s time to tell you some tricks to catch it easily. Firstly, you should focus on getting one of the best fishing rods in the game (see our Fisch rods tier list to choose the best among them). Consider going with the brand-new Ruinous Oath Rod, the Luminescent Oath Rod, or simply the Seraphic Rod.

Once you have a decent rod, you can focus on maintaining proper conditions to catch this creature. The Ashclaw in Fisch has no season, weather, or time preferences, with the Coal bait in Fisch being its favorite.

However, as per our calculation, Ruinous Oath with Beached Pearl gives you the highest chance of catching it. Unfortunately that will not be enough to catch this monster. To fish in Roslit Volcano, players must have the Magma Rod, Reinforced Rod, Onirifalx, Volcanic Rod, or any Fishing Rod with the Invincible enchantment.

As the other rods are not worth using, we suggest you get a better rod and add the Fisch enchantments to it. Ashclaw comes with -70 resilience and -95% progress speed. So, select enchantments as per your rod’s need.

But beware, Steady or Tempest Rod passive does not work on the progress speed debuff of the Ashclaw. If you want to get a better progress speed, you can try the Blessed Song enchant. On the other hand, when catching the creature with the Rod of the Forgotten Fang, you can dupe the fish. Moreover, the Rod of the Depths passive does not work on any Cataclysmic rarity fishes, including the Ashclaw in Fisch.

Best rod and bait for Ashclaw

The best overall setup for Ashclaw is a top-tier lava-capable rod (or any rod with Invincible) using Coal as bait, plus progress-speed enchants to counter its -%-95%-95% progress debuff.

Best bait

  • Ashclaw’s preferred bait is Coal, and using it noticeably increases your hook chance compared to generic bait.

  • Other baits are not listed as preferred for Ashclaw, so Coal is the only really “meta” choice right now.

Best rods to use

  • Commonly recommended high-tier rods for Ashclaw include Ruinous Oath, Luminescent Oath, Seraphic Rod, Onirifalx Rod, and Elder Mossripper, mainly because of their wide bar and strong stats.

  • Whatever you pick must be able to fish in Roslit Volcano lava: Magma Rod, Reinforced Rod, Onirifalx, Volcanic Rod, or any strong rod with the Invincible enchant all work.

Enchants and stats to prioritize

  • Focus on enchants that boost progress speed and resilience (for example things like Flashline, Immortal, Blessed Song, or similar speed-boosting options, depending on what is available on your rod).

  • Avoid relying on Steady/Tempest-style passives for the debuff; Ashclaw’s -%-95%-95% progress speed effect still makes the bar extremely slow, so raw progress-speed enchants are more valuable.

Where to catch Ashclaw in Fisch

Ashclaw can only be caught inside the Roslit Volcano in the Roslit Bay area, and only while a Roslit Volcano Eruption event is active. Outside that specific place and event, it will not appear anywhere in Fisch.

Exact spot

  • Go to Roslit Bay, enter the Roslit Volcano, and head to the main lava room with the big central lava pillar. Ashclaw is available in the lava around that pillar during an eruption.

  • Many players use the in-game GPS to go to coordinates -,,-1945, 275, 230-,,, which is right by the best Ashclaw fishing spot in the volcano.

When it can spawn

  • Ashclaw only becomes catchable during a Roslit Volcano Eruption, which is announced by a large server message about the volcano trembling or erupting. If there is no eruption, you cannot hook Ashclaw yet.

  • The eruption chance increases the more players are fishing in and around the volcano area, so groups that fish there together can usually trigger it faster.

Quick checklist

  • Location: Inside Roslit Volcano (Roslit Bay), at the central lava pool / GPS -,,-1945, 275, 230-,,.

  • Condition: Active Roslit Volcano Eruption event; no eruption means no Ashclaw spawns.

  • Water type: Lava only, so you must use a rod that can fish in lava or has the right enchant to survive there.
