Fortnitemares is back, bringing eerie challenges and limited-time rewards for dedicated players. Here’s how you can grab exclusive free skins and cosmetics before they vanish from the Item Shop.
The island has also received major changes with update 37.50, where five new POIs have been added and pumpkins have appeared on the map. Players can find some new weapons and items on their way to Victory Royale.
While most of these collabs are purely paid skins that will be released in the Item Shop, players who still prefer the free-to-play spirit of Fortnite won’t be left behind. Epic has also announced several cosmetic items that players can claim for free during Fortnitemares, either via quests, logging in, or tuning into Twitch Drops. All Fortnitemares Quests and Free Rewards
All Fortnitemares Quests offer players themed challenges that grant exclusive rewards such as back blings, pickaxes, and wraps. Completing specific sets of quests can also grant limited-time items and event-themed cosmetics tied to Halloween content. Each quest progresses through event stages, letting players earn free cosmetics and even the special outfit featured for this year’s Fortnitemares celebration.
First up, Fortnitemares quests! Players can now complete in-game quests and unlock free cosmetic items as they progress, including Pyg the Butcher skin and its accompanying cosmetics.

Fortnitemares Twitch Drops Rewards
Fortnitemares Twitch Drops offer players a simple way to earn exclusive Halloween-themed cosmetics by watching partnered Fortnite streamers on Twitch. By linking their Epic Games and Twitch accounts, viewers can receive limited-time rewards such as sprays, wraps, emotes, and other themed items. These drops usually rotate throughout the event period, so keeping an eye on official announcements ensures you don’t miss any of the spooky collectibles.
Fortnitemares is screaming into streams, too. Watch any stream in the Fortnite category on Twitch from October 9 at 9 AM ET ‘til October 12 at 11:59 PM ET to unlock:
- Treat Sack Back Bling (Watch for 30 minutes cumulative)
- Treat Axe Pickaxe (Watch for 1 hour cumulative)

Free Fortnitemares Login Reward
Log in during Fortnitemares to claim this exclusive reward at no cost. Players receive the item instantly upon accessing their account on the event dates. It adds a spooky flair to your collection without spending V-Bucks. Make sure to check your locker after logging in to equip it right away.
Fortnite is also granting players a free Sprite Plushie Back Bling if they log in during Fortnitemares. You don’t necessarily need to play any match or Fortnite experience; just log in and claim your free reward in your locker.
Which Fortnitemares quests give the free Pyg the Butcher skin
The Pyg the Butcher skin from Fortnitemares 2025 was unlocked by earning a total of 15 account levels through XP gained from completing Fortnitemares quests, not by finishing specific individual quests.
These quests, available in Battle Royale and Zero Build modes until November 1, 2025, each rewarded 10,000 XP to help accumulate those levels.

Examples include completing Fred, Velma, Daphne, and Shaggy’s Found Quests (4 total), hiring Scooby Doo, picking up the Phone at a Stalkbox, hitting different players with Last Call, defeating the Mother of Thorns, restoring Health or Gain Shields with Scooby Snacks, pulling consumables with the Thorn Ripper, and visiting Pumpkin Takeovers with the Mother of Thorns.
Level Rewards
Progress unlocked intermediate items like Butcher’s Tools Back Bling (level 2), Earn 4 Account Levels Spray (level 4), Meat Grinder Emote (level 8), and Butcher’s Knife Pickaxe (level 12), culminating in the Pyg the Butcher Outfit at level 15.
