Fortnite’s latest Power Rangers crossover drops the Blade Blaster-a mythic weapon that morphs blaster into brutal sword strikes. Claim it before the storm closes in.
However, this season’s Power Rangers collab has kicked things up a notch with the introduction of the Megazord mythic, which is perfect for slaying bugs and enemies on the island. While the Megazord is limited, at the same time, Epic has also added the iconic Blade Blaster weapon that you can get in the game quite easily. Here’s how to get and use it in Chapter 6 Season 4.
How to Get and Use the Blade Blaster Weapon in Fortnite
Players grab the Blade Blaster mythic weapon by eliminating opponents carrying it or searching specific Power Rangers supply drops across the map. Once obtained, equip it from your inventory and activate with the fire button to fire piercing energy blasts that deal heavy damage to enemies and structures. Reload by pressing the reload key after shots deplete, and pair it with mobility items for close-to-mid range fights where its rapid fire shines against grouped foes. Drop rates increase during Power Rangers events, so target high-traffic areas early in matches.
Blade Blaster is a mythic weapon in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4, which is now available across Battle Royale and Zero Build lobbies. To get your hands on a Blade Blaster, you must reach O.X.R. Rank A and head to a bunker that is opened during a match.
As soon as you open a bunker, head inside and look for the mythic weapon display case. Walk closer to it and you’ll be able to claim the Blade Blaster for free. Buy the weapon, and you now have it in your inventory.
You can also get the weapon by opening Loot Chests or Rare Chests, but the chances of getting one from those containers are really thin. The Blade Blaster is an energy-based laser pistol with two attacks. Here are the weapon’s stats:
- Damage: 42
- Headshot Damage: 68.25
- Magazine Size: 80
- Fire Rate: 4.3
- Reload Time: 0.085
The first is the primary fire, using the shoot button, which fires slow laser shots at the enemy, dealing heavy damage. The secondary fire requires you to hold down the ADS button (right click or LT/L2 on controller) for a charged shot, which deals even more damage.
You can use the Blade Blaster to easily finish off Queen Bugs in mere seconds, thanks to its damage multiplier that allows you to eliminate bugs faster in a match. However, it may not be ideal to use it in proximity to an enemy, as you may need your trusty shotgun after all to finish the job.
Best O.X.R. Rank A farming routes this season
O.X.R. Rank A unlocks access to bunkers containing the Power Rangers Blade Blaster in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4. Efficient farming focuses on completing faction quests like eliminating Queen Bugs, Swarmer Nests, and players while prioritizing O.X.R. Outposts for rapid XP gains.
Top Farming Strategies
Land at O.X.R. Outposts or HQs first to clear Bombers and Swarmers for massive XP bursts, often reaching Rank A within minutes. Collect O.X.R.-specific chests and use nearby launchpads for quick rotations to additional nests or bunkers. Pair this with vehicle mobility for chaining sites like Canyon Crossing Outpost to Ranger’s Ruin.
Optimal Loot Routes
-
Mountain between Canyon Crossing and Demon’s Debris: Grab slurp barrels, 5 chests (mountain/building/tunnel), then drive to O.X.R. outpost for 3 more chests before rotating via launchpad.
-
O.X.R. HQ: Follow offspawn looting paths targeting high-yield buildings for quick stacks and wins while farming kills.
-
Outpost-focused drops: Hit multiple Outposts per match, prioritizing Swarmer-heavy zones for 1000+ XP per nest.
Rank Progression Tips
Scan at bunker doors after hitting Rank A to open them-four bunkers spawn per match. Avoid solos if possible; duos/teams speed up clears for S+ pushes. Reloads and overheats on the Blaster demand mid-range bug focus post-unlock.
Fast solo route to hit three OXR outposts quickly
Fast solo routes to hit three O.X.R. Outposts prioritize vehicle grabs, launchpads, and low-contest zones for quick clears in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4. Focus on Canyon Crossing area clusters to minimize travel time while farming Swarmer Nests and chests for Rank A progression.
Recommended Route
Start at the mountain between Canyon Crossing Outpost and Demon’s Debris: Loot 5 chests (mountain tops, building, tunnel) and slurp barrels, then grab a car. Drive to Canyon Crossing O.X.R. Outpost above for 3 O.X.R. chests and nest clears. Use the nearby O.X.R. launchpad to rotate to Ranger’s Ruin Outpost for the third site, chaining nests en route.
Execution Tips
Land precisely on the mountain POI to avoid early fights, prioritizing mobility for 2-3 minute outpost hits. Clear Swarmers at each for 1000+ XP bursts toward Rank A, scanning bunkers post-route. Expect 80-100% success in solos by dodging hot drops like O.X.R. HQ.
Alternatives
-
Outpost Enclave to Kappa Kappa Factory: Looting-focused path with flags for extra XP, low player density.
-
Shogun’s Solitude launchpad chain to Canyon Crossing and snowy O.X.R. Base for aggressive solos.
