Currently, the only way to get the Gnomed mutation in Grow a Garden is by using the Gnome pet. Earlier, when Gnomes were first added to the game, they were only part of the cosmetics collection. However, in the latest Beanstalk expansion update, you can buy the Gnome pet from the Friendship shop accessible via the giant NPC on the cloud platform.

• Fill every plantable tile with high-value crops you actually plan to sell (no empty spots and minimal “junk” crops), so any random Gnomed hit is worth a lot.​

• Cluster your Gnome pets in the center or along one side of the plot so their passive can always “see” plenty of ripe fruit; placement does not target by proximity, but this keeps your harvesting and checking efficient.​

• Grow the Beanstalk and climb to the top sky island where Goliath is located; this is tied to the Beanstalk/Bean update progression.​

• Cook food and feed it to Goliath to raise your Friendship level to at least level 6 (some guides say 6, some 7, but 6 is the common requirement for his pet stock).​​
