Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4 Map Changes New POIs and Loot Pool Updates

Guides

Epic Games reshapes the battlefield as Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4 reveals bold map changes and brand-new POIs that promise uncharted clashes and hidden rewards.

New Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4 POIs

Chapter 6 Season 4 introduces a range of new Points of Interest that refresh the island’s structure and offer new tactical opportunities. Players can explore expanded urban zones, fortified strongholds, and mysterious technological facilities that reshape combat strategies. Each POI features unique layouts, loot routes, and interactive elements that reward exploration and quick adaptation to the season’s updated mechanics.

The Shock ‘N Awesome update brings 4 new locations to Fortnite. Here is a list of all the new POIs in Chapter 6 Season 4:

  • The Hive
  • Swarmy Stash
  • O.X.R. HQ
  • Ranger’s Ruin

The Hive

Replaces Lonewolf Lair

On the Northern parts of the map resides The Hive, a new point of interest crawling with heavy bug activity, so bring all the ammo you can carry. Running into the swarm is guaranteed, and charging in unprepared is a death wish. But if you survive, the loot and rewards are more than worth the risk.

Swarmy Stash

Replaces Flooded Frogs

While technically a smaller location, the Swarmy Stash has the potential to draw the attention of many hotdroppers. The place is swarming with bugs, and swatting them comes with some valuable rewards. Despite replacing Flooded Frogs, the Swarmy Stash is further south from it. The location is in the middle of The Hive and the O.X.R. HQ.

O.X.R. HQ

Replaces Brutal Boxcars

O.X.R. HQ is the new base for this season’s bug-fighting soldiers and replaces Brutal Boxcars, though it sits a bit further east. The main building hosts the O.X.R. commanders and a battle ops hub, while the barracks house the troops. You can also find an Armory where you can spend Bars to grab the Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4 weapons and gear.

Ranger’s Ruin

Replaces Crime City

Ranger’s Ruin is a new point of interest that replaces the fan-favorite Crime City from Chapter 6. It used to be a busy O.X.R. weapons lab, but the infestation took over and turned it into a warzone. Now it’s a loot-packed hotspot if you’re brave enough to deal with the bugs and the mess they created.

Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4 map

Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4 introduces a redesigned map filled with striking visual updates and new points of interest that reshape how players explore and strategize. Several zones have been transformed by recent story events, adding fresh biomes, altered terrain, and hidden areas brimming with loot opportunities. Returning locations now feature updated layouts, offering new pathways and vantage points that change the flow of combat. The blend of modern and reimagined regions keeps each match dynamic, encouraging players to adapt their tactics as they navigate the updated environment.

With the changes, the number of POIs is back to 18 (with Star Wars POIs still existing for no reason). Here is the full list of Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4 map locations:

  • Supernova Academy
  • First Order Base
  • Pumped Power
  • Foxy Floodgate
  • Shining Span
  • Uptopia City
  • Kappa Kappa Factory
  • Outpost Enclave
  • Demon’s Domain
  • Shogun’s Solitude
  • Canyon Crossing
  • Shiny Shafts
  • Outlaw Oasis
  • Resistance Base
  • The Hive
  • Swarmy Stash
  • O.X.R. HQ
  • Ranger’s Ruin

Supernova Academy

Supernova Academy anchors the central north of the island, even in Season 4. It has a university-style campus vibe with modern architecture and underground secrets. Despite the superhero season being over, it remains on the map, offering both lore and loot-rich gameplay.

First Order Base

The First Order Base is one of the returning POIs in Chapter 6 Season 4. Previously tied into the Galactic Battle theme, it’s still packed with cold, imperial energy and stormtrooper-heavy gameplay. It’s a durable fallback for players seeking structured combat and loot options.

Pumped Power

This compact power station is efficient, loot-rich, and straightforward. If you are new to the game, it is perfect for fast-paced drops. The familiar layout provides a low-stress, gear-focused landing spot.

Foxy Floodgate

The massive dam, Foxy Floodgate, continues to cut across the map. The loot isn’t dense, but ziplines make navigation across the split terrain feel dynamic, great for quick grabs or escapes. It remains a center-stage travel hub with tactical rotations.

Shining Span

Shining Span is a cable-stayed suspension bridge that provides traversal and loot opportunities with an elegant visual design. It’s a nod to classic Fortnite structure and aesthetics.

Uptopia City

Uptopia City is a location where fights are always unpredictable. This futuristic urban zone is full of multi-storey buildings and ziplines, offering insane brawl situations. Expect multi-level combat and terrain for vertical plays, if you dare to jump in.

Kappa Kappa Factory

One of the southeastern loot mines, Kappa Kappa Factory, is back on the map in Season 4. Once a small farm turned factory, it delivers solid loot and competitive early-game confrontation. It remains a hot drop for new gear-hungry players.

Outpost Enclave

After replacing Hopeful Heights, the Outpost Enclave continues to be a part of the map. It’s a dusty, lone-location vibe, plus serious loot. Great for players looking to land somewhere a little off the beaten path.

Demon’s Domain

One of the boss locations from Season 3 Super, Demon’s Domain, is still part of the Fortnite map in Season 4. It’s soaked in ancient mystery and supernatural visuals, delivering traps, lore, and loot. Ideally, the location is best for players who love high-risk, visually rich zones.

Shogun’s Solitude

Shogun’s Solitude, home of multiple bosses in Chapter 6, remains on the map in Season 4. It sits atop jagged mountain peaks with red foliage and minimal loot. It’s more about aesthetics than looting and boss fights.

Canyon Crossing

Canyon Crossing is not great for a quick drop or a slow trek. It offers southwest flair, cliffside loot, and cliff-jump danger; falling means a quick exit to the lobby. This spot is high-reward with a deadly learning curve.

Shiny Shafts

The vertical mine shafts offer depth, loot, and risk. This is the perfect grind zone for persistent players. Beware of the new bugs roaming around the map when going underground.

Outlaw Oasis

Outlaw Oasis stays in Chapter 6 Season 4. It brings desert charm, sparse cover, and easy ambush routes. Want to cut the rotations of enemy squads? This place is the ideal place to sit back and hunt at the right time.

Resistance Base

Resistance Base returns this season, after taking over Whiffy Wharf during the Star Wars miniseason. Hidden in the woods, it feels like a relaxing Rebel HQ. A great drop for sneaky flanks and gear without too much early heat.
