All Cooking Recipes in Grow a Garden
All cooking recipes in Grow a Garden let players use ingredients harvested from their own gardens to create various meals and drinks. Each recipe combines different fruits, vegetables, and other items to produce dishes that restore energy or boost progress in the game. Players can experiment with ingredients at the cooking station to find every recipe, from simple salads to complex baked treats. Completing the full recipe list adds variety to gameplay and helps make the most of everything grown in the garden.
Before you start your chef journey, knowing the cooking recipes for sandwich, burger, waffle, and more is a must. Here is the list of food items you can make in Grow a Garden, along with the main ingredients for them. Remember, if you have submitted the key ingredients, it will be enough.
Moreover, there are multiple combinations of fruits for specific food items, so make sure you try them out for a bigger food item. After you have added the essential items for each cooking recipe, adding more fruits will not make a difference. They are replaceable, so players can add any fruits to complete the 5-ingredient count if they wish to.
The rarity of the food changes depending on the fruit’s rarity. So, if you want higher rarity ones, the ingredients must be of a better rarity. Apart from common cooking recipes, you will find all the Prismatic recipes in Grow a Garden from our table below.
The Prismatic food items, such as Prismatic pizza, cake, or hot dog will increase your chances of high-tier rewards. You can also search for Prismatic or Divine cooking recipes using the search button.

How to Cook Food Items in Grow a Garden
Cooking in Grow a Garden lets you use harvested crops to make dishes that restore energy and boost progress. To cook, head to the kitchen area, select a recipe from your collection, and add the correct ingredients. Once everything is placed, tap the cook button to begin preparing the meal. Each recipe has its own preparation time and ingredient list, so collecting a variety of crops ensures you can make more complex dishes as you advance.
To cook food items in the game, players must know the proper ingredients first. Once you have the required items, go to the new cooking area of the lobby. Now, follow the simple steps below and get your delicious meal:
- Hold the fruit required for the food item and press the E key when near the Cooking Pot.
- Once you submit the required ingredients, the board on the left will show the time it will take to cook the item.
- You can either remove items from the ingredients list or click the green COOK button under the pot.
- After clicking the button, the timer will start on top of the pot, and once it is done, go near the pot and press the E button to claim the food.
How to Give Food Items to the Pig NPC in Grow a Garden
Approach the Pig NPC in your garden with the required food item selected from your inventory. Open the interaction menu by clicking or tapping on the pig. Choose the option to give food, then confirm the transfer. The pig accepts compatible items like carrots or apples instantly, advancing its growth or quests without any cooldown. Repeat for multiple feedings as needed.
The Pig NPC, aka Chris P, is the master chef who will judge your cooking skills. Look at the timer above his head that changes every hour. This is the craving timer that decides what the NPC wants as food next.
For example, if the speech bubble above Chris P says, “HotDog would be nice”, giving him that item will increase your chances for better rewards. That said, here is how you can submit food to the new Pig NPC:
- Walk over to Chris P NPC and press the E key to open the dialogue box.
- Now, hold the food item and click the “Try this food I cooked up!”
- After a small assessment of your cooking skills, the Pig will give you rewards.

Which ingredients give the rarest food rarities
In Grow a Garden, the rarest food rarities usually come from using the highest-rarity crops (Divine/Prismatic and similar special/event crops) and certain multi-ingredient “premium” combinations. In practice, this means that if a recipe has several known versions (common, uncommon, rare, divine), the version that swaps normal crops for late-game or event-exclusive crops will usually give the rarest food tier.
What makes saffron and white truffles so rare
Saffron and white truffles are rare because they each have very limited natural production, short harvest windows, and require intense, manual work rather than scalable farming.
Why saffron is so rare
-
Saffron consists of the dried stigmas of the saffron crocus, and each flower produces only about three usable threads, so enormous numbers of flowers are needed for a small amount of spice.
-
The flowers bloom only once a year for a few days in autumn, and every stigma must be carefully picked by hand in a narrow time window, making production extremely labor-intensive and slow.
Why white truffles are so rare
-
White truffles are underground fungi that grow only in very specific soils and climates, mainly in limited regions of Italy and a few nearby areas, so their natural habitat is very restricted.
-
They cannot be reliably farmed on a large scale, have a short seasonal harvest, must be located individually with trained dogs, and are highly sensitive to environmental changes, so yields are unpredictable and often very small.
