Fortnite’s July 29 v36.30 update lays the groundwork for the upcoming Super Showdown live event, adding new event files, map changes around the Demon’s Domain POI, and fresh loading screens that tease the looming Kraken showdown with Daigo and Superman. Players can also expect new skins and collab cosmetics, plus additional Blitz and OG playlists that ramp up the action ahead of Chapter 6 Season 4’s finale. Alongside the new content, the patch includes stability improvements and a series of gameplay and bug fixes to smooth out the final weeks of the season.​

Super Showdown Live Event Build Up

Fortnite has finally added event files for Super Showdown this weekend, with today’s patch. Epic has been constantly teasing the appearance of the infamous Kraken with numerous teasers, however, a leaked Loading Screen reward for those who attend the event has confirmed Daigo’s involvement in summoning the kaiju.

The Demon’s Domain POI has also transformed into a much darker region where the event will take place. Characters such as Killswitch, Jonesy, Hope and more will join hands with loopers and Superman to defeat the boss on August 2.

New Skins

Like every update, this Fortnite patch has also added new cosmetic skins to the files which will be released in the coming days. Among the leaked cosmetics, an unmasked Daigo style in shining black and gold has also been added where players will be able to claim it ahead of the event.

Furthermore, the iconic Major Lazer skin and bundle will also make a return this week where players will be able to purchase it in the item shop. As per leaks, a similar skin for Deadmau5 is also in the works and will be released in the icon series very soon.

New Collabs Coming Soon

As per the latest leaks in the files with this patch, a beloved Borderlands character, Moxxi is getting Twitter including a skin, emote, back bling and more. Furthermore, a collab for One Punch man including skins for Twitter were added to Fall Guys, and will also appear in Fortnite in the upcoming season.

Blitz Boss Ninja Has Arrived

Ninja has been announced as the Blitz Boss in the final week of Blitz mode before Chapter 6 Season 4 hits Fortnite. In the update, five new mythic weapons made with a unique twist from Ninja himself will be added to Blitz, including a Ninja Blitz Boss players will encounter.

To celebrate this new collab between Ninja and Fortnite, a new black and gold Ninja Blitz Boss skin has been added to the game, which means players who own the original Ninja skin will get this style for free, while others will need to purchase one to get the style.
