Grow a Garden Corrupted Event New Pets Abilities Patch Notes July 2025

Guides

A wave of eerie new pets has arrived in Grow a Garden’s Corrupted Event, turning adorable companions into dark, twisted versions of themselves. Here’s what each corrupted creature brings to the garden-and how to get them before they vanish.

List of Corrupted Pets in Grow a Garden

Corrupted Kitsune, Raiju, Mizuchi, Kodama, Tsuchinoko, Maneki-neko, and Football Pet.

The pets introduced in the latest Grow a Garden update can be obtained either by completing the Corrupted event quests or buying them directly from the existing Zen shop. While two of the pets, including Raiju and Corrupted Kitsune, feature some of the best traits, other pets are quite decent for beginners.

Image Pet Name How to Obtain Trait

Maneki Neko From Kitsune Box – Every 2.21 minutes, it has an 8.36% chance to refund the fruit for 10.60 seconds. This chance decreases with higher rarity.

Kodama From Kitsune Box – 4.64% chance that Zen-type fruit gets the Tranquil mutation on collection

Corrupted Kodama From Corrupt Channeler NPC – 4.64% chance that Zen-type fruit gets the Corrupt mutation on collection

Raiju From Zen Shop – Will devour a fruit with Shocked mutation to increase its value.
– During a Thunderstorm, the pet will spit a chain lightning to apply Shocked or Static mutation to the harvests

Corrupted Kitsune From Kitsune Box – Every 20.55 minutes, it throws cursed energy at 9 random fruit with a 20.25% chance to apply Corrupt Chakra mutation and a rare chance to give the Corrupt Foxfire Chakra mutation on them

Football Pet Travis Kelce event – Every 87 seconds, runs to the Seeds/Gears shop (which is further) and does a touchdown, which awards you with 870 Sheckles or a 20.58% chance to get a watering can instead

Best Corrupted Egg Pets in Grow a Garden

In Grow a Garden’s Corrupted Event Update, corrupted egg pets stand out for their raw power and unique abilities that boost garden growth rates. The Voidling Hatchling corrupts soil to double plant yields overnight, while Shadow Sprout devours weeds and spits out rare seeds. Nightshade Nibbler poisons rival gardens in PvP modes, securing leaderboard spots. Players hatch these from corrupted eggs dropped during event raids, prioritizing them for late-game dominance.

The five new pets in the Corrupted event update are all good in their respective areas; however, two of them outshine the others. So, here are the pets worth putting your best effort:

  • Corrupted Kitsune: While the original Kitsune is one of the best in the game, the Corrupted Kitsune is not far behind. Although it won’t steal any fruits or seeds from other gardens, it can help your plants get lucrative mutations.
  • Raiju: Finally, Raiju is another great pet worth obtaining in this update, since all your plants will have a higher chance of getting the Shocked mutation, which multiplies the sale value of your plants by 100 times.

How to get Corrupted Kitsune pet

The Corrupted Kitsune is a rare Prismatic-tier pet introduced in Grow a Garden’s Corrupted Event update. Obtain it primarily by opening Kitsune Chests or Exotic Corrupt Chests, where it has about a 1% drop chance.

Primary Methods

  • Kitsune Chests: Submit Tranquil and Corrupted plants (or high-tier Zen/Corrupt fruits) to the central Kitsune NPC until both progress gauges fill, earning one chest per cycle (resets after filling). Open the chest for a 1% chance at Corrupted Kitsune; events allow multiple cycles hourly.

  • Exotic Corrupt Chests (or Exotic Kitsune): Buy with Robux or Chi in the Zen Shop/Exotic shop (e.g., Rainbow Shack), or earn via special event rewards-also ~1% chance, sometimes 50/50 crop/pet split.

Farming Tips

  • Use Corrupted Kodama pet for higher Corrupt mutation rates on Zen fruits, and farm during hourly Corrupted events for efficiency.

  • Submit 5 balanced Tranquil/Corrupt items per cycle to Kitsune NPC; repeat 5-10 times per hour for ~35-70% daily odds over multiple hours (1% per chest).

  • Trading with other players or rare codes (now likely expired) offers alternatives post-event.

Best farming spots for Tranquil and Corrupt plants

Tranquil and Corrupted plants in Grow a Garden are key for event progress, earned by farming during specific hourly events in the Zen/Corrupted area.

Best Tranquil Farming Spots

  • Zen Event Area (central Zen zone): Plant fast-grow crops like tomatoes, strawberries, blueberries, daffodils, or moon melons near Tanchozuru pets (5% Tranquil mutation every 10 minutes within 15 studs). Time plantings for Tranquil events (every ~34 minutes) to boost odds; use sprinklers and Giant Ant for quick cycles.

  • High-value Zen seeds (Lucky Bamboo, Moon Melon): Buy Zen Seed Packs from the shop, plant in bulk, and rely on Kodama pets for 4-4.6% Tranquil mutation on harvest.

Best Corrupted Farming Spots

  • Corrupted Channeller/Tree (map center): During Corrupted events, plant any crops (sugar apples for high points) nearby; Corrupted Kodama gives ~4% Corrupt mutation chance on collection.

  • Kitsune NPC zone: Submit balanced sets (5 Tranquil + 5 Corrupted) for Kitsune Chests, but farm Corrupted variants using event timers and stacking mutation pets.

Optimization Tips

Focus on event hours for double mutations, equip Tanchozuru for Tranquil and Corrupted Kodama for Corrupt, and alternate high-rarity seeds like sugar apples for max points per submission.
