Currently, there are two simple ways to obtain the Zen eggs in Grow a Garden, and they don’t even cost you any Robux. You need to complete a few basic tasks, like submitting mutated plants to a new NPC and using the new currency to buy Zen eggs. So, here are the best ways to get Zen eggs:

1. From Unk the Monk NPC

To get free Zen eggs, head over to the Monk Unk NPC at the center of the play area and submit plants with the Tranquil mutation. This is the most cost-effective way, since you don’t need to spend any in-game currency, and getting the Tranquil mutation only requires you to wait for the Zen Aura event, which spawns every hour.

So, once you submit all your Tranquil mutated plants or fruits to the Monk, the progress bar will fill and help grow the zen tree behind him. As you level up and the tree grows, you will receive random Zen-themed rewards. There’s a high chance that you will receive Zen eggs as the reward.

2. From Zen Shop

The next way to obtain Zen eggs is from the Zen shop. This method is for players who don’t like to wait for long hours. If you have enough Chi points, you can interact with the Brown Raccoon NPC beside the Monk to access the Zen shop and buy Zen eggs from there.

We have a dedicated guide on how to get Chi Points in Grow a Garden, in case you were wondering what Chi is and how to obtain them.

So, grab the Zen eggs, place them in your garden to hatch the new Zen pets. Note that the Zen shop refreshes every hour. However, the good thing with this update is that you can always restock items by spending a few Sheckles and clicking the restock button on top right of the shop.

Now that you know how to get Zen pets in Grow a Garden, it’s time to check what pets are worth hatching and deploying in your plot. After testing the pets in the new update, we have chosen the following can add the most value to the plants in your garden.

  • Kitsune: This pet is a clear winner. It not only brings you a random fruit, but also applies the Chakra mutation to it. Kitsune also has a rare chance to apply a second mutation as well, and it is so much better than the Raccoon.
  • Kappa: Due to its low cooldown, most of your fruits in the garden will have the Wet mutation, and can also get the Bloodlit mutation. This will increase the profit earned by selling fruits.
  • Shiba Inu: As of now, the passive looks similar to Dog and Golden Lab, but the cooldown for its passive is far less, thereby helping you obtain more seeds.

How to get Zen Eggs in Grow a Garden

Zen Eggs Acquisition
Zen Eggs in Grow a Garden are primarily obtained through three methods during the Zen Event. They hatch into exclusive Japanese-themed pets after 4 hours and 10 minutes.

Via Zen Tree Progression
Submit Tranquil-mutated fruits, especially high-rarity ones like Beanstalk, Sugar Apples, or Bone Blossoms, to the Monk NPC (also called Zen Master or Monk Unk) near the Zen Tree. Every 325 Zen points accumulated grants 1-2 Zen Eggs, plus rewards like gnome crates, seed packs, and Chi; fully leveling the tree provides additional eggs reliably.

Purchasing from Zen Shop
Buy directly from the tanuki NPC in the Zen Shop for 30 Chi or 149 Robux when in stock, which refreshes hourly. Use Sheckles to restock the shop repeatedly until Zen Eggs appear, though this costs progressively more (starting at 500k).

Efficiency Tips
Prioritize the tree method for consistency over shop RNG; farm Tranquil mutations using pets like Tanchozuru. Alt accounts or multiple setups can accelerate farming, but focus on high-value crops for faster points.

Best methods to farm Zen Eggs fast without spending Robux

Zen Eggs in Grow a Garden can be farmed efficiently without Robux by focusing on the Zen Tree progression system and shop restocks using in-game resources. This leverages free Chi and Sheckles earned through gameplay.

Primary Method: Zen Tree Submissions
Grow and harvest Tranquil-mutated high-value fruits like Bone Blossoms (4 fruits each) or Sugar Apples (7 fruits average) to submit to the Monk NPC near the Zen Tree. Accumulate 325 Zen points per level after level 7 for 1-2 eggs per milestone, plus extras at max level; aim for 20+ fruits per harvest using alt accounts or secondary slots for ~300 points hourly.

Enhancements for Speed
Equip Tanchozuru pets to generate more Tranquil mutations, Basic Sprinklers or Triceratops for faster growth, and Stegosaurus/Moon Cats to duplicate harvests. AFK overnight on packed gardens of Ember Lilies or Prismatics, then radar-harvest with moon fruit synergies.

Free Shop Restocks
Use farmed Sheckles (starting at 500k per restock) on the tanuki NPC until Zen Eggs appear in the hourly refresh; combine with tree farming to avoid dependency.
