Dig Roblox Money Farming Guide Fast Cash Best Spots Tools Quests Methods

Guides

Coins buried beneath virtual dirt can turn into serious profit if you know where to dig. Learn the quickest routes, hidden tricks, and smart upgrades that send your balance soaring in Dig Roblox.

I’ve got you covered with the best ways to make money fast in Dig, so you can stop staring at that empty wallet and dive right in.

1. Pick the Right Shovel

Choosing the right shovel helps you dig faster and safer, so pick a sturdy tool with a comfortable grip, a balanced weight, and a broad, sharp blade that can handle both soft soil and tougher patches.

Before you start digging in Dig Roblox, make sure to pick a shovel that fits your budget. If you are just starting out, go for the Training Shovel or Toy Shovel from Rocky’s Shovel Shop in Fox Town. From there, grind your way up to the Ruby Shovel and beyond.

If you want to save money, Dig bosses drop a free shovel when players defeat them. However, the shovel drop is chance-based, and you might need to grind the boss fights multiple times. That way, you can stick with the Ruby Shovel and aim for the Candlelight Shovel instead. You can grab it for free by defeating the Candlelight Phantom, one of the Dig bosses.

While shovels you earn from boss fights don’t have any modifiers and won’t bring in much money, they are great for digging up Legendary or Mythical items early on. The rarer the items, the higher their value when you sell them. For the full breakdown, check out our Dig shovel progression guide and decide which one you want to pick for your digging journey.

2. Do Money-Making Quests

Quests are one of the fastest ways to earn extra cash in Dig Roblox. Each task rewards you with coins or rare items that can be sold for profit. Focus on repeating easy tasks that give decent payouts, like collecting resources or digging specific spots. Completing daily or weekly quests also grants bonus rewards that stack over time, helping you build your funds quickly without spending too much effort.

Mindlessly digging around the Dig locations won’t make you rich, unless you plan to sell dirt, which I don’t recommend. The game gives you plenty of quests that hand out free money for doing simple tasks.

I highly recommend hitting up the Pizza Penguin (4208, 1191, -4349) and Combat Guild (2509, 82, 1288) quests. They are easy to complete and can net you anywhere from $500 to $2K each time. It’s basically free cash…minus the fuel cost spent every trip you make delivering the pizza.

However, that’s not all you get from the quests. They also reward you with charms and buffs that improve your overall digging experience. For example, the Pizza Penguin quest can get you the powerful Pizza Roller Shovel and an Arcane Totem every ninth delivery. Use the Arcane Totem wisely, and you’ll have a better shot at digging up Divine or Mythical items.

On the other hand, the Combat Guild quests boost your boss damage with every completion. Stack those bonuses, and you’ll start melting bosses faster, making it easier to farm even more money in Dig.

3. Participate in Boss Fights

Participating in boss fights is one of the quickest ways to earn large rewards in Dig Roblox. These battles often drop rare treasures, valuable materials, and bonus coins that can boost your income dramatically. Equip your strongest tools and team up with other players to defeat powerful bosses faster. The better your performance during the fight, the more impressive your rewards will be, so plan your strategy and make sure your gear is upgraded before entering the arena.

Speaking of making easy money by fighting bosses. Yes, it’s one of the best ways to earn money in Dig. Each boss gives you a chunk of money and XP once you take them down. Just make sure you are dealing steady damage while dodging their attacks like a pro.

Since other players usually join in, these fights don’t take too long. Moreover, every boss in Dig has a chance to drop rare loot, such as shovels, boss items, and charms. Sell items like King Claws and Candlelight Lanterns, and you’ll be stacking money way faster than just digging around.

4. Use Ideal Enchantment

Using the Ideal Enchantment feature can dramatically boost your profits in Dig Roblox. Players can enhance their tools with upgrades that increase digging speed, gem collection rate, and rare item drop chances. Focus on combining enchantments that complement each other, such as faster digging paired with higher value finds. Investing in better enchantments early can lead to faster progress and larger payouts as you continue playing.

Next up, my new addiction in Dig: Gamba!! I mean, enchantment. While the ability to use in-game money to buy enchantment tomes unlocks after level 30, you can always dig them up normally.

To get even more enchantment tomes, dig using Magnet Shovel or use the Abundant enchantment on your shovel. Once you have enough tomes, learn about all the Dig enchantments you should get to make money faster in Dig.

If your shovel doesn’t already have a passive that modifies items, try rolling for the Altered and Sparkled enchantments. Altered boosts your chances of getting modified items, which usually sell for more than regular ones. Sparkled, on the other hand, increases your shiny item rate. Shiny items sell for 3x the price.

However, if you’re using a Frigid Shovel or Shortcake Shovel, go for the Wumbo enchantment. These shovels already apply modifications to items, and Wumbo adds a chance to change their size. Bigger or smaller, those altered items can sell for a lot more, especially with the natural mutations from the shovel. It’s a great combo to boost your earnings quickly in Dig.

5. Get Important Items

Collect tools, gear, and items that boost your digging power and cash rewards. Focus on getting better shovels, backpacks, and pets with bonuses that increase speed and treasure value. Keep upgrading them as you progress so you can gather rare materials faster and sell them for higher profits. Trading with other players can also help you get valuable gear without spending too much time grinding.

While I don’t recommend spending on anything besides shovels early on, once you hit level 15 to 20, you’ll start needing better loot and more mobility. A basic ATV is good enough for getting around, so skip buying a new vehicle for now.

Instead, invest in the Glider and Emergency Flare. The Glider helps you cross tricky cliffs, while the flare gun is perfect for saving time during Pizza Penguin quests. Just accept a quest and use the flare to zip back to Fox Town instantly. It’s a huge time-saver and helps you earn money faster.

Furthermore, consider picking up the Item Detector for $10K from the Fox Town merchant shop. It highlights nearby item abundances, making it easier to track down Legendary or Mythical digs.

6. Best Locations to Dig Items

Areas with high-value treasures can greatly increase your earnings in Dig Roblox. Focus on zones like the Desert Site, Volcano Pit, and Crystal Cavern, where rare items spawn more frequently. These spots often yield golden relics, gems, and artefacts that sell for high prices. Spending time in underwater ruins or meteor crash sites can also pay off, as they tend to hide unique collectibles that attract premium buyers in the trading market.

Don’t want to drop cash on the Item Detector? Just follow the herd. Players usually swarm certain spots to farm those juicy, high-rarity items. And if the randoms aren’t being helpful, I have got your back with some solid loot spots in Dig.

On Cinder Island, swing by the Verdant Vale pig farm (3835, 82, 1621). It’s basically a treasure pen filled with Legendary items like cows, goats, and pigs.

Moreover, you can head to the Graveyard in Rooftop Woodlands (3713, 226, -617) at night for plenty of Scarce rarity items. Make sure you activate the Ghostbusters quest first, so you can earn the Ectoplasm Sleeve after digging up three ghosts.

Over on the second island, Copper Mesa is a goldmine. Travel to the Kira Pale NPC (-6580, 247, -2424) and dig the surroundings. That area’s so rich, you’ll find more Scarce and Legendary items than less valued Common ones.

7. Adjust Charms

Charms can greatly influence how quickly you earn rewards in Dig Roblox. Adjust them based on your current needs-some boost digging speed, while others increase the value of what you find. Try combining charms that balance speed and profit for better results. Experiment regularly, as the best setup can change depending on your tools, location, and current mining goals.

If you don’t know already, charms in Dig are your secret weapon for digging like a pro. If you are looking for more modifiers, then wear the Magic Top Hat charm, which you can get from the Traveling Merchant.

Struggling to confirm Mythical or Divine item digs? The Tenacity Brace is your best friend, and I swear it saved me from rage-quitting after missing one too many Divine finds.

And hey, if you already own these charms, don’t waste your hard-earned cash buying duplicates. Just grab a Charm Chisel from the Appraiser and reroll the stats whenever you need a fresh setup. With the right charm equipped, farming money is much easier in Dig.

Best shovels for early game money farming

Early-game shovels in Dig Roblox prioritize value multipliers, luck, and digging speed to maximize coin gains from basic spots like Fox Town or Cinder Shores.

Progression Path

Start with the Toy Shovel (cheap merchant buy after tutorial) for quick digs if you’re good at minigames, or Training Shovel for easier control.
Save for Ruby Shovel ($ from Cindy’s shop in Cinder Shores) next-its superior strength and control speed up farming for the next upgrades.
Transition to Shortcake Shovel ($45,000) soon after for its 25% Tasty mod (2x value), which boosts sell prices on common items.

Top Early Picks

Shovel Cost Key Stats/Ability Why for Money
Shortcake $45,000 Rock control 7, Strength 9, Luck 18; 25% Tasty (2x value) High value mod on cheap items for fast flips
Ruby Affordable early High strength/control Efficient digging in Cinder Shores for snowballing cash
Frigid $75,000 Rock control 6, Luck 22; 30% Frigid (1.8x value) Reliable multiplier for legendaries in basic rock
Bell Early alternative 25 Luck Luck for more rares without breaking bank

Tips for Upgrading

Prioritize shovels with mods like Tasty or Frigid over pure speed ones early, as they turn junk into profit.
Pair with quests (Pizza Penguin) and sell everything except these to hit Gold Digger ($125k, 25% Golden 2.5x) faster.
Avoid Jam Shovel; go straight to Spore Spade ($30k) for its luck totem spawn in mid-early transitions.

Which shovel gives the best luck totems early game

Spore Spade Shovel stands out as the best early-game shovel for spawning luck totems in Dig Roblox.

Why Spore Spade Excels

It costs $30,000 at Rooftop Woodlands (near the big mushroom) and offers balanced stats: 8 control, 6 strength, 5 haste, 18 luck, with a 10% chance per dig to spawn a Luck Totem lasting 100 seconds for +6 luck boost.
This totem improves rare drop rates on legendaries and mythicals, making every dig session more profitable without needing extra gear.
Compared to alternatives like Lucky Shovel (base luck focus, no totem spawn), it provides repeatable free luck advantages for faster money farming in rock/dirt.

Acquisition Path

Progress from Fox Town’s Toy/Training Shovels to Ruby ($ from Cinder Shores) for initial cash grind via quests and basic digs.
Skip nerfed Jam Shovel; hit Rooftop Woodlands around level 15, complete initial tasks (Pizza deliveries or bosses) to afford Spore Spade directly.
Equip it immediately in crowded farm spots like Snow Area precursors for totem stacking with player buffs.

Quick Stats Comparison

Shovel Cost Totem Chance Luck Boost Best For
Spore Spade $30k 10% per dig +6 (100s) Totem farming
Shortcake $45k None 18 base Value mods
Ruby Early None 13 base Dig speed
Bell Early-mid None 25 base Pure luck

Pair with Pizza Penguin quests to fund it fast, then use totems to snowball into Gold Digger progression.
