Nectar is buzzing in Grow a Garden, but only a select few will unlock the secret staves that turn pollen into power.
That changes with today’s update, since it introduces the Nectar Staff. This tool makes it easier to get the Pollinated mutation, but it will cost you honey. So, if you have been wanting to pollinate a Moon Melon, check how to get the Nectar Staff and use it in Grow a Garden.
How to Get Nectar Staff in Grow a Garden
Purchase the Nectar Staff from the Honey Shop for 25 honey, or spend 219 Robux if available there, as stock rotates on a timer. Craft it with Bizzy Bear by supplying specific amounts of honey and mutated fruits like HoneyGlazed Rose or Pollinated Bamboo according to rotating recipes that reward the staff at certain milestones. Place the selected staff on your plot to draw bees during swarms and secure the Pollinated mutation on nearby plants, with each staff providing eight uses before it vanishes.
With the Friendship update (previously called the Bizzier Bees update), Grow a Garden has added two ways to obtain the Nectar Staff- from the Honey shop and the Bear Chef.
1. From the Honey Shop
The fastest and easiest way to get the Nectar Staff is to purchase it from the Honey Shop in Grow a Garden. The Nectar Staff costs 25 honey, which you can get using the Combpresser in 30 seconds now, as opposed to 3 minutes before.
If you don’t have honey, you can spend 219 Robux to obtain one staff. Moreover, since it’s a gear of the Mythical rarity, it won’t always be available in the shop.
2. From the Bizzy Bear Chef
The alternate way to get the Night Staff is by crafting the tool using the new NPC, Bizzy Bear. This cute Bear chef sits right beside the Queen Bee, aka the Bee Swarm event area, with a chef’s hat on its head. It cycles through multiple recipes, and some of them offer you the Night Staff. Here is how the recipe crafting works:
- On the Bear’s left, you need to submit honey.
- On the Bear’s right, you need to submit fruit- either Pollinated or HoneyGlazed, depending on its demand. These items include plants like blueberries, carrots, roses, and so on.
Once you submit the required items, you then need to interact with the Bear to get the crafted item. The Nectar Staff is the 3rd, 9th, 19th, and 24th reward, so yeah, it will require you to grind a lot of honey and fruit with Pollinated mutation. Here are the recipes and the number of Nectar Staff you can get:
- 3 Honey and 1.4kg HoneyGlazed Rose: 1x Nectar Staff
- 7 Honey and 4.8kg Pollinated Bamboo: 1x Nectar Staff
- 23 Honey and 30kg Pollinated Mushroom: 2x Nectar Staff
- 28 Honey and 7.8kg Pollinated Pepper: 3x Nectar Staff

How to Use Nectar Staff in Grow a Garden
Equip the Nectar Staff from your inventory after obtaining it. Approach flowers or pollination spots in the garden. Hold the tool and click or tap on targets to spread nectar, boosting growth rates and yields. Repeat across plants for maximum results, watching for cooldowns between uses. Pair it with watering tools for faster progress.
Using a Nectar Staff is simple and works the same way as the Night Staff or the Star Caller that you might have placed in your garden to get Moonlit and Celestial mutation. So, follow the steps below to place the Nectar Staff in your garden:
- In your backpack, search for Nectar Staff and click the left mouse button to select it.
- Move to the area of your plot where you wish to place the staff and click the left mouse button.
- This will place the Nectar Staff at the spot and attract bees when the Bee Swarm event starts.
Once placed, you can hover your mouse pointer over the Nectar Staff to see the number of uses, aka bee attractions, left. Note that the Nectar Staff has 8 uses, so you’ll get 8 guaranteed pollinated mutation plants during the Bee Swarm event.
Where to find the Nectar Staff in Grow a Garden Roblox
Nectar Staff Locations
In Grow a Garden on Roblox, the Nectar Staff is available from two main spots tied to the Bizzy Bees update. The Honey Shop, run by the Queen Bee NPC, sells it for 25 Honey or 219 Robux, though stock rotates every 30 minutes as a Mythical rarity item. Alternatively, craft it with the Bizzy Bear Chef NPC, located next to the Queen Bee near the Bee Swarm event area.
Honey Shop Access
Head to the central hub area and interact with the Queen Bee to enter the Honey Shop. Check periodically if the staff isn’t stocked, since the Combpresser now generates Honey faster (30 seconds per batch). This remains the quickest option for players with resources ready.
Bizzy Bear Chef Crafting
Find Bizzy Bear right beside the Queen Bee; submit Honey on the left side and specific Pollinated or HoneyGlazed fruits (like Roses, Bamboo, Mushrooms, or Peppers) on the right. Rewards including 1-3 Nectar Staffs appear as the 3rd, 9th, 19th, or 24th craft-examples include 3 Honey + 1.4kg HoneyGlazed Rose for 1 staff. Grind events for materials to progress recipes.
Buy Nectar Staff with Robux or grind honey faster methods
Nectar Staff can be bought directly with Robux for instant access without grinding. The Honey Shop also offers it for 25 Honey, which is now quicker to farm thanks to recent updates.
Robux Purchase
Head to the Honey Shop by interacting with the Queen Bee NPC in the central Bizzy Bees event area. When the Mythical-rarity Nectar Staff appears in stock (refreshes every 30 minutes), select the Robux option costing 219 Robux for immediate purchase. This skips all material collection and works regardless of Honey availability.
Fast Honey Grinding
Use the Combpresser tool, which now produces Honey in just 30 seconds per batch-a major upgrade from the old 3-minute wait. Exchange Pollinated plants at the NPC near the Queen Bee to fuel it faster, and pair with Sprinklers or Watering Cans from the Gear Shop to speed up plant growth for more Pollinated yields. Check the shop frequently during Bee Swarm events for optimal timing.
