The Bee Swarm event in Grow a Garden introduces a new Queen Bee NPC at the center of the play area. On her left is a honeycomb that displays a handy timer for when the next bee swarm will take place. The right side houses the honey combpressor with a small worker bee inside.
The new event also brings about a bee swarm. This happens every hour and stays for 10 minutes. This is the time bees flood the plots, fly over crops, and increase the chances of getting the new pollinated mutation.
As you might be able to guess, the Queen bee NPC requires honey as part of the Bizzy Bees update. However, you won’t have to do it for free. The NPC houses many items and even seed packs that you can trade for honey. All you need to do to participate is get plant harvests with the new Pollinated mutation that you can convert to honey. Once done, follow the steps below:
- Equip the pollinated harvest in your hand and interact with the honey combpressor by pressing E.
- This will submit the harvest inside the combpressor and fill the bottle of honey under the tap.
- You need 10 kg worth of total harvests to fill the whole bottle and get 10 honey. You can see the exact amount on the counter just above the combpressor.
- Once you have collected enough honey, talk to the Queen bee, and select the ‘I want to trade honey‘ option.
This opens the exclusive honey shop, which is available during the Bizzy Bees update. You can buy whatever seed pack, cosmetics, or eggs you like from here.

What Mutation Do You Get During the Bee Swarm Event
During the Bee Swarm event in Grow a Garden, players can obtain the Bee Mutation, which temporarily enhances their garden’s productivity. This mutation grants bees special abilities that boost flower growth, speed up pollination, and increase honey production from blooms. The effect lasts for a limited time and can be stacked with other buffs, making it a valuable boost during event challenges and collection tasks.
The Bizzy Bees update is very similar to the Night event in Grow a Garden, as the bee swarm occursevery hour. During this time, you can get the pollinated mutation on any random fruit in your garden, thereby increasing its value by 3 times.
Make sure you don’t sell the pollinated mutation harvest right away, as you’ll need these to make honey, which in turn is used for trading honey eggs, seeds, packs, cosmetics, and more. So, try planting more multi-harvest plants in your garden that give you heavy-weight harvests in return, like bamboo, moon melons, cactus, beanstalk, and more.
The second mutation you can get during this update is HoneyGlazed. Although there is no specific event for that, you need to place the Bear Bee pet in your field, or get a Honey Sprinkler from the honey shop in the game.
The Bear Bee has a chance of pollinating crops in your garden and apply the HoneyGlazed mutation to the fruits, while the sprinkler, does the same for all the crops within its range and runs for a whole minute.
