Powerful heroes rise and fall in Roblox’s Anime Saga, and May 2025’s tier list reveals which ones truly dominate the battlefield. From dazzling SS-tier champions to underrated picks with hidden strengths, here’s how each fighter stacks up this season.

A brand new anime-style game, called Anime Saga, has been released on Roblox and is packed with action. You can roll random units and have a chance to unlock some of the rarest and most powerful anime characters. With a formidable team, you can then head into the battlefield and defeat waves of enemies using cool attacks and combos. However, with a variety of powerful units, choosing the best can quickly become difficult. Fear not, as we have ranked all characters in our Anime Saga tier list to help you pick out the best units with ease.

Anime Saga Tier List: All Units Ranked

The Anime Saga tier list ranks all available units based on their power, utility, and overall performance across different game modes. Each character is evaluated for damage output, special abilities, and synergy with team compositions to help players build stronger lineups. Updated for May 2025, this list reflects the current balance changes and new additions, giving players a clear view of which heroes stand out and which ones need more support or upgrades.

Anime Saga features a small group of units as it’s just the beginning of a fantastic action experience with some popular anime characters.

As such, our tier list has the rarest and most dominant units in S-Tier. Moving down the list, it is obvious that the units become less valuable and less preferable once you’ve leveled up. With that, here’s our Anime Saga tier list:

  • S-tier: Frierin, Zid, Chainsaw, Rohan, Zoru
  • A-tier: Doma, Okorun, Inos, Mochi, Agony
  • B-tier: Vogita, Nezu, Sake
  • C-tier: Sanjo, Ichigan, Itaduro, Tanjigo
  • D-tier: Roku, Usoap, Noroto, Luffo

With the tier list at an overview above, let’s talk about the best Anime Saga units in more detail.

Anime Saga S-Tier Units

This is the top-most tier and hence consists of some of the best units in the whole game. These can deal much damage, with less cooldown and best-in-class combos. Among all units in this class, Frierin and Zid stand out due to their good moves and AoE attacks. Furthermore, Zoru and Rohan belong in this category because of their special moves, such as the two-sword style Onigiri and the super Kamehameha.

Unit Rarity
Frierin Mythic
Zid Mythic
Chainsaw Mythic
Rohan Legendary
Zoru Legendary

Anime Saga A-Tier Units

Next up is the A-Tier, which also has some pretty cool units. However, these seem to lack a bit in their moves and stats, and hence could not be placed higher. This includes the two Mythics, Doma and Okarun, who have good crowd controlling capabilities, but you can always use Rohan and Zoru since they perform better in this aspect. Finally, Inos, Mochi, and Agony have similar crowd-controlling moves that can help you deal damage to hordes of enemies together.

Unit Rarity
Doma Mythic
Okorun Mythic
Inos Legendary
Mochi Legendary
Agony Legendary

Anime Saga B-Tier Units

Coming to the B-Tier or the average category, we have only three units – Vogita, Nezu, and Sake, each with their unique powers. Vogita is simply a weaker Rohan and is good with beam attacks. On the other hand, Nezu has an excellent combo move that can swiftly defeat enemies at the early stages. Lastly, Sake is the only unit in Anime Saga who has electric attacks that can stun enemies and thus help as a support.

Unit Rarity
Vogita Epic
Nezu Epic
Sake Epic

Anime Saga C-Tier Units

Now, in the C-Tier, we have a few Epic and Rare characters that you can surely unlock early in the game. In my experience, characters in this category and below are only helpful at the early stages. While Sanjo and Tanjigo can help in crowd controlling enemies, Ichigan and Itaduro have high-scaling attacks that can knock players out in a second.

Unit Rarity
Sanjo Epic
Ichigan Rare
Itaduro Rare
Tanjigo Rare

Anime Saga D-Tier Units

Down to the D-Tier in our Anime Saga tier list, we have some of the worst units in the game. Among all, Roku might be the best one due to his superb Kamehameha move and barrage attacks. However, other units like Usoap, Noroto, and Luffo don’t have enough damage output and higher cooldowns. Hence, we recommend rolling for other higher-tier units as soon as possible.

Unit Rarity
Roku Rare
Usoap Epic
Noroto Rare
Luffo Rare

Why is Zid the best unit in Anime Saga

Zid stands out as the top unit in Anime Saga due to its unmatched combination of high damage output, self-sustainability, and defensive utility, making it ideal for raids, story modes, and infinite content.

Key Strengths

Zid delivers massive nuke damage from its evolved ultimate (up to 13-15K at max stats), paired with short cooldowns for near-constant high DPS. Its second skill provides healing (around 40% of unit health), boosting survivability in prolonged fights. Moves like Silhouette Slashes and Atomic Flash offer i-frames, allowing use while stun-locked or hit, with strong multi-hit AoE.

Versatility

This Mythic unit scales excellently into end-game, fitting any team comp without set passives needed, and excels as both DPS and pseudo-support. Compared to peers like Remu or Frierin, Zid’s blend of offense, defense, and spamability edges it out as the meta pick.

How to get and evolve Zid in Anime Saga

Zid is a Mythic unit in Anime Saga on Roblox, obtainable through summons using Gems, with no specific level requirement beyond having enough currency. Evolving Zid requires crafting its signature item, WeaponsZid (also called Zid’s Sword), at the Craft Vendor (Super Mabu or Majin Boo NPC), then combining it with the base Zid summon at the Evolve capsule or hourglass in the main lobby.

Crafting WeaponsZid

Visit the Craft Vendor to make 1x WeaponsZid, which demands materials like Key, rare drops, and Gold (costs around 1,060-11,000 Gold depending on recipe tier). Farm these primarily from Raids (unlocked at player level 25, available hourly for 15 minutes) or buy from the Gold Shop if available.

Evolution Process

Only Mythic units like Zid can evolve, unlocking a powerful ultimate (Atomic) for massive DPS. Pay additional Gold at the Evolve area, then enjoy boosted stats, i-frames, and new moves-prioritize this for end-game viability.
