Genshin Impact Mini Durin Human Form Playable Character Speculation and Leaks

Guides

Rumors are swirling as Mini Durin, the mysterious dragon companion from Genshin Impact’s recent storyline, takes on a startling human form. Could this transformation mark the arrival of a new playable character hidden in plain sight?

In the 5.6 update, the Archon quest Paralogism furthered that story, ending with Albedo turning the Mini Durin into a human using Durin’s heart as the core.

We got a peek at the new humanoid form of mini Durin, which inevitably sparked a new question – Will Durin become playable in Genshin Impact or not? Well, we don our theory-crafting hats to see whether Genshin Impact can release Mini Durin as a playable character later in the story.

Spoiler Warning:

This includes spoilers for the Genshin Impact lore, up to version 5.6. Proceed with caution.

This is Not the End for Mini Durin in Genshin Impact

Mini Durin’s story may not be over yet, as hints in new quests and character interactions suggest his return could take a new direction. Players have noticed references that tie his dragon past to a growing connection with human characters, sparking rumors about a potential transformation. Whether this means Mini Durin could gain a human form or appear as a future playable character, his presence continues to grow stronger in Genshin Impact’s ongoing narrative.

In the Genshin Impact 5.6 update, we barely get a look at Mini Durin’s Humanoid form at the end of the quest. This cliffhanger might have disappointed many, but it also means that a lotmore is yet to come for Mini Durin in Genshin Impact. There is no way Hoyoverse will hype up a character this interesting, only to throw any follow-up story later down the drain, right?

Hopefully, I am right and Hoyoverse does add another quest around Mini Durin’s humanoid form and Albedo. This will also be the perfect time to make Mini Durin a playable character in Genshin Impact.

Mini Durin Won’t be the Only Dragon Turned Human

Mini Durin’s transformation may not be a unique event, as hints from recent quests and leaks suggest that other dragon beings could also take human forms in future updates. This possibility opens new storytelling angles connecting ancient creatures with present-day characters. Fans speculate that such transformations could expand the lore around Teyvat’s draconic heritage and create new types of playable characters inspired by elemental dragons.

Dragons are extremely powerful beings in Genshin Impact, and Durin is no exception. Creating a playable character for such strong beings can be difficult, but it’s not like it hasn’t been done before.

Neuvillette is referred to as the reincarnated Hydro Dragon Sovereign in Genshin Impact. This means that Neuvillette is basically a dragon himself, albeit born as a human. This clearly shows the mini Durin’s humanoid form can also become playable in Genshin Impact if the developers desire.

Other than Neuvillette, who is arguably the strongest Hypercarry DPS in Genshin Impact, we also have many of the Adepti becoming playable in their human form, like Xiao and Xianyun.

Could Mini Durin’s New Human Form Be Playable in Genshin Impact?

Mini Durin’s new human form has sparked plenty of curiosity among players who wonder if he could join the roster as a playable character. His connection to Khaenri’ah and mysterious ties to Albedo make him a strong candidate for future updates. If his human form appears in the game’s storyline, it could hint at new gameplay mechanics or a quest line expanding the lore surrounding dragons and alchemy in Mondstadt. Fans are eagerly watching for any hints from HoYoverse that could confirm his potential debut.

There is a huge possibility that Mini Durin’s new human form will be available to play in Genshin Impact sometime in the future. I personally don’t think that Hoyoverse will use this storyline if it didn’t lead to a new character introduction. The developers have plans to bring Durin as a playable character very soon. Also, the character design we saw at the end of the Archon quest was too high quality to simply be an NPC in the game.
