What are the new characters and weapons in 5.2

Genshin Impact 5.2 introduced two new playable characters. Chasca is a 5-star Anemo Bow user known as the “Skyborne Arbiter” or Peacemaker of the Tlalocan, while Ororon is a 4-star Electro Bow character titled “Shadow of the Night-Wind.”

New Weapons

The update added three new weapons in Phase 1 banners. These include the 5-star Bow Astral Vulture’s Crimson Plumage (Chasca’s signature, boosting ATK after Swirl and Charged Attack/Burst DMG), plus 4-star options Flower-Wreathed Feathers (Bow) and Waveriding Whirl (Catalyst).

Chasca and Ororon debuted together in Phase 1 alongside Lyney’s rerun. Phase 2 featured Neuvillette and Zhongli reruns with weapons like Tome of the Eternal Flow.

How do Chasca’s kit and elemental bullets work in detail

Chasca’s kit revolves around her Elemental Skill, which enables enhanced Charged Attacks firing six Shadowhunt Shells (bullets) in a “last in, first out” order. These shells start as Anemo but convert to Pyro, Hydro, Electro, or Cryo based on eligible teammates, enabling reactions like Vaporize or Melt.

Skill Mechanics

Spirit Reins, Shadow Hunt (Hold) enters Nightsoul’s Blessing, loading shells sequentially: Shells 1-2 are always Anemo, while 4-6 randomly convert (two per eligible element). Her A1 Passive (Bullet Trick) converts the 3rd shell with 33%/67%/100% chance per eligible element type (up to 3 stacks boosting converted DMG by 15%/35%/65%). Converted shells apply their element every other shot due to ICD, with each hitting enemy generating 5 particles once per state.

Burst Details

Soul Reaper’s Fatal Round fires an initial AoE Anemo hit, splitting into six trackable shells that convert similarly (two per teammate element). At C4, these add an extra AoE elemental bullet (400% ATK DMG).

Playstyle Notes

Teammates trigger “Burning Shadowhunt Shots” on Nightsoul Bursts; prioritize 2-3 PHC(E) units for reliable conversions. C1 adds a fifth convertible shell, reducing Anemo reliance.
