Fisch Roblox January Guide: Pliosaur Divine Fish Collect Tidefall Update Hunts Obelisk Puzzle

Guides

The Pliosaur is one of Fisch’s rarest catches-massive, elusive, and worth every cast. This guide breaks down where to find it, which bait works best, and the fishing rod setup that gives you the highest chance to reel it in.

Pliosaur Location in Fisch

Pliosaurs appear in the depths of the Tempesta region, specifically around coordinates -5800, -3600. Fish there during storms or high wind for better odds, using a Reinforced or higher rod with strong line. They stay close to the seafloor, so drop bait deep and watch for bites on your sonar. Nighttime trips boost spawn rates slightly.

The Pliosaur exotic is located in the Collapsed Ruins area, locked behind Pliosaur hunt event in Fisch at the Tidefall region. To unlock Tidefall in Fisch, you must head to these coordinates: 3224, 130, 847 using the Fisch GPS, and use your Water Bubble and Tidebreaker to get in.

Having reached the Tidefall area, head left from the merchant and reach these coordinates: 3149, -1052, 1297. Head inside this entrance to reach the Collapsed Ruins area. But, fishing in this region won’t be enough, and you must wait for the Pilosaur server event to get triggered to catch the Pilosaur.

Tips and Tricks to Get the Pliosaur in Fisch

Use a high-quality fishing rod with upgraded line strength to improve your chances of pulling in the Pliosaur. Equip bait that attracts rare aquatic creatures, such as deep-sea or prehistoric types, and cast your line in areas known for large shadows or uncommon spawns. Patience pays off-wait for stronger vibrations before reeling in to avoid losing the catch. Boost your fishing skill level and use any available buffs to increase rarity rates and shorten catch times.

Just like any other major server event hunts in Fisch, like the Megalodon hunt, the Pliosaur appears only during the dedicated hunt event. A notification will pop up on the server at the top of your screen that the Pliosaur has spawned. And then you can head there to get the creature.

Since it’s an exotic fish, you would need some of the best fishing rods in Fisch to feel minimal resistance while catching it. Consider using Blade of Glorp, the Seraphic Rod, or even the Wind Elemental rod for the best results.

Even with the best fishing rods, the Pliosaur in Fisch might not get reeled in easily if the following weather preferences are not met:

  • Favorite Bait: Shark Head
  • Weather: Foggy
  • Time: Night
  • Season: Winter

So, make sure that you’re equipped with the necessary items like the Smokescreen Totem and the Sundial Totem to trigger the foggy weather and nighttime the moment the event is triggered.

Apart from these conditions, also keep in mind that the Pliosaur can apply a -90% progress speed effect on your rod. To counter this, try using some of the best Fisch enchantments for your rod that boost your progress speed. Swift, Steady, Immortal, and the Blessed Song enchantment are some great options to go for.

Pliosaur event spawn conditions in Fisch

Pliosaur only becomes catchable during a specific, server-wide “Pliosaur Hunt” style event in the Tidefall update, and it does not have a manual trigger like some other bosses.

How the Pliosaur event works

  • The event is a server event: when it starts, a large banner/notification appears at the top of everyone’s screen saying that the Pliosaur has appeared or the hunt has begun.

  • While the event is active, Pliosaur can spawn only in the Tidefall region’s Collapsed Ruins area; outside that window or outside that zone, your chance is effectively zero.

Time, weather, and season

  • The event itself is not locked to a specific season, but Pliosaur has much better catch odds at night, in foggy weather, and during winter, so players usually stack these when the event is up.

  • Fog can be forced with Smokescreen Totems, and night can be forced with Sundial Totems, letting you line up the ideal weather/time once the server announces the Pliosaur spawn.

Practical spawn “conditions” to watch

  • Stay in Tidefall/Collapsed Ruins and keep an eye on server announcements; once the Pliosaur banner appears, move immediately to the Collapsed Ruins fishing spots and begin fishing there.

  • Use the recommended bait (Shark Head) and a strong rod during the event window, because Pliosaur applies heavy negative progress and is tuned as a rare, event-bound exotic rather than a normal spawn.

How to catch Pliosaur after it spawns in Fisch

Catching the Pliosaur requires immediate action once the server-wide “Pliosaur Hunt” notification appears at the top of the screen, signaling the event has started.

Rush to the Spot

Head straight to Collapsed Ruins in Tidefall (coordinates around 3149, -1052, 1297 from the Tidefall merchant, left path). Position yourself at prime fishing spots in the water there, as the Pliosaur only hooks during this limited event window.

Optimal Setup

Equip Shark Head bait for the best hook rate, and activate Smokescreen Totems for fog, Sundial Totems for night-winter season boosts odds further if active. Use top rods like Blade of Glorp, Seraphic Rod, or Wind Elemental Rod, enchanted with Swift, Steady, Immortal, or Blessed Song to fight its -90% progress debuff.

Reeling Strategy

Once hooked, reel patiently against heavy resistance-maintain bar position steadily without aggressive pulls to avoid snapping. The catch completes Obelisk puzzles for Tidefall progression, so prioritize it over other fish during the event.
