Devil Hunter Roblox: Factions Divisions Guide – Public Safety vs Yakuza

Guides

Two factions, two philosophies – one decision that shapes your entire path. Will you uphold justice under the Public Safety HQ’s strict order, or chase power and loyalty within the Yakuza Family’s underworld ties?

Each Devil Hunter Faction has its own benefits, and in this guide, we’ll go through all of them. By the end of it, you’ll learn about the Devil Hunter Faction you should choose.

Devil Hunter Faction: Public Safety Headquarters

Public Safety Headquarters stands as the official Devil Hunter Faction, backed by government authority and advanced resources. Players select it for structured missions, reliable gear upgrades, and team-based operations against high-threat devils. Strong perks include access to elite training grounds and priority intel on outbreaks. Choose this faction if you prefer disciplined playstyles with steady progression and official support in Roblox’s Devil Hunter world.

Public Safety Headquarters is the default Devil Hunter faction that you’ll be joining when starting the game. This faction is, in my opinion, much more friendly and peaceful. It consists of 6 divisions, all of which are joinable, but you can not leave/switch after joining unless you wipe. The division you choose does not affect your gameplay, besides the starter quest. Most of your tasks are majorly dependent on hunting devils, but sometimes you might need to fight other factions.

Public Safety HQ Ranks and Devil Contracts

There are six ranks in Public Safety HQ, and each of them can be unlocked by completing certain quests and farming XP. Here’s a list of them:

  • Rank 1: Trainee Hunter
  • Rank 2: Amateur Hunter
  • Rank 3: Junior Hunter
  • Rank 4: First Class Hunter
  • Rank 5: Senior Hunter
  • Rank 6: Semi Elite Hunter
  • Rank 7: Elite Hunter

This faction has three exclusive Devil Contracts: Curse Devil, Shark Devil, and Future Devil, with whom you can form a Devil Contract only if you are human. Fiends or Devils cannot form a contract with Devils.

Devil Hunter Faction: Yakuza Family

The Devil Hunter Faction: Yakuza Family draws players into a gritty underworld of organized crime and devil-slaying muscle. Members wield brutal melee weapons and gang-backed abilities, perfect for close-quarters brawls against demon hordes. Loyalty to the family unlocks exclusive tattoos that boost damage output and intimidation tactics, while territory control yields steady yen rewards for upgrades. Choose this path if you thrive on raw power and streetwise dominance over ranged precision.

The Yakuza building can be located near the Nara Cosmetics shop. This faction is opposite to the Public Safety HQ, and will mostly task you to kill humans and Public Safety members. Unlike the Safety faction, you need to complete certain tasks to join the Yakuza faction.

To join the Yakuza Family, you must reach Junior Hunterrank in Public Safety and then accept a quest from the Yakuza Leader. The leader assigns two tasks: eliminating five members of Public Safety and gathering 80000 money for the organization. After completing the quest, you can join the Yakuza family. However, you’ll be locked out of Curse, Future, and Shark contracts, and you won’t be able to leave the faction.

Yakuza Family Ranks and Devil Contracts

Similar to Public Safety, the Yakuza Family also has separate ranks, but the ranking process is very similar. Here’s a list of all the ranks:

  • Rank 1: Sworn Brother
  • Rank 2: Senior Member
  • Rank 3: Lieutenant Assistant
  • Rank 4: Lieutenant
  • Rank 5: Senior Advisor

In addition to the ranks, Yakuza Family brings in three exclusive devil contracts: Snake, Zombie, and Katana Hybrid Devil. While you decide which faction you should join, redeem our Devil Hunter codes to get free rewards.

Should You Join Public Safety or Yakuza Family Faction in Devil Hunter?

Public Safety offers stable resources, official gear, and team missions against devils, suiting players who value structure and steady progression. Yakuza Family provides underground perks like black market trades, high-risk bounties, and faction loyalty bonuses for aggressive playstyles. Pick Public Safety for reliable support in long grinds; go Yakuza if you thrive on raw power and solo dominance in Devil Hunter.

You should definitely join the Yakuza Family after reaching Junior Hunter rank in Public Safety HQ. Public Safety HQ is important as it teaches you the basics of Devil Hunter combat, provides a stable income, and leads you into the division system. However, as you reach the late game, the Yakuza can be a fun way to enjoy the game.

The Curse and Future Devil contracts are one of the best contracts in Devil Hunter. But the Katana Hybrid Devil is just too broken right now, and getting it should be one of your goals. We recommend that you create two slots, so that you can play as a Public Safety HQ member and as a Yakuza Family member at the same time. This is because, once you join the Yakuza, you’ll be stuck in this faction forever.

Best faction for solo players in Devil Hunter

For solo players, Public Safety HQ is generally the best faction, with Yakuza becoming strong later once you are geared and confident.

Why Public Safety is best for solo

  • Public Safety gives safer, structured missions focused on killing devils, which are easier to farm alone than hunting players.

  • It has very strong solo-friendly contracts like Future and Curse, which offer counters and high damage that help you survive and clear content without teammates.

When Yakuza makes sense

  • Yakuza shines once you already understand the game, since its content leans more into PvP and risky money-making that is harder as a true solo beginner.

  • Its exclusives like Snake and Katana Hybrid are top-tier for power, so experienced solo players who can handle ganks and invasions may prefer Yakuza in late game.

Practical recommendation

  • Start and progress in Public Safety until you have a strong contract (Future/Curse) and solid mechanics, then consider a second slot or swap path into Yakuza for maximum damage builds.

Which faction grants the best solo progression rewards

Public Safety HQ offers the best solo progression rewards overall, because its missions, contracts, and rank rewards are tuned around consistent PvE devil hunting rather than risky PvP.

Why Public Safety rewards are better for solo

  • Public Safety story and side missions revolve around devil extermination, giving steady EXP, money, and contract progression that can be done safely alone.

  • Rank-up rewards (like access to stronger contracts, divisions, and gear) unlock simply by clearing PvE content and killing devils, which is more reliable for solo grinders than hunting players.

How Yakuza rewards differ

  • Yakuza progression leans more on killing players and Public Safety members, so your rewards are gated behind higher-risk activities that are harder to farm solo.

  • Its big rewards are power spikes from exclusives like Snake and Katana Hybrid rather than smoother, mission-based rank rewards, so payoff is higher but less consistent for solo progression.

Recommendation for rewards-focused solo play

  • If the goal is the smoothest solo climb in ranks, money, and gear, stay with Public Safety HQ for most of your progression.

  • Consider Yakuza later on a second slot once you are comfortable with PvP and mainly want high-end power, not efficient solo rewards.
