The Forge Spider Guide Find Queen Spider Raven Cave Quest Help

Guides

Hidden deep within The Forge lies the Demonic Queen Spider-an elusive boss that challenges even seasoned players. This guide reveals her exact spawn conditions, key locations, and the tactics you’ll need to claim victory and rare loot.

Where is The Forge Demonic Queen Spider Location

The Demonic Queen Spider spawns inside Crimson Depths, the Raven Cave in the Frostspire Expanse, after meeting Raven quest prerequisites and reaching around level 70. Access typically requires progressing the Raven questline and using a portal to unlock Frostspire Expanse, then navigating to the forge area near Sensei Moro and entering the Raven Cave to trigger her appearance. Once inside, clear standard enemies until the Demonic Queen Spider materializes.

The Forge Demonic Queen Spider can only be found inside the Crimson Depths (Raven Cave). This cave can only be unlocked by completing the second stage of the Raven quest. If you are unable to access the location and its quest, make sure to have reached at least level 70 and use the portal tool to unlock the Frostspire Expanse in the game.

Once you’ve finished the quest, you can access the cave. Inside the cave, you’ll always the the Mini Demonic Spider, and the Demonic Spider. However, the Demonic Queen Spider is a rare spawn that you might not always encounter. If you aren’t able to see one of them, try killing all enemies around you for it to newly spawn. You can even create a private server, and rejoin the game again and again until the Demonic Queen Spider spawns.

How to Defeat The Forge Demonic Queen Spider

The Forge Demonic Queen Spider lurks in the deepest chamber, where the air stirs with embered dust and the floor collapses into shadow. To defeat her, pull the switch that seals off the lava vents, then dodge her web-shots and rapid leg swipes while you aim for the glowing orb at her abdomen, which weakens her defenses with every strike. Keep your team coordinated, pummel her during the brief stun windows, and retreat to heal when her arachnid minions swarm in, ensuring you strike again before she recovers.

The Demonic Queen Spider is the strongest variant of the Demonic Spiders, but is very easy to defeat. Below, we have listed its attack patterns to make things easier for you.

  • At the very beginning, it will shoot a web ball at you and launch back. Try to dodge it and dash at it to get closer.
  • After its first attack, the Demonic Queen Spider will try to get close and deal damage with its legs.
  • Sometimes, the enemy spawn might glitch, and the Demonic Queen Spider won’t attack at all.

You can easily tackle it using some of our best armor recipes. Equip yourself with the best weapons recipes to effortlessly bring them down. Remember that this is one of the strongest enemies on the third island, which means that normal weapons and armor won’t be of much use.

Should You Farm the Demonic Queen Spider in The Forge?

Farming the Demonic Queen Spider in The Forge can be worth your time if you aim to gather rare materials or boost your inventory with high-value drops. The boss offers a strong challenge but rewards persistence with items that can enhance your crafting potential or trading options. However, the fight can be tough without solid gear and a coordinated team, so weigh the effort against what you need before committing to repeated battles.

We do not recommend farming the Demonic Queen Spider if you are trying to make money by collecting essences. While you can get essences, 350 to 700 XP, and a decent amount of money (950 – 1,900) from killing them, it’s totally not worth the pain, given that they spawn very less. However, you need to kill one Demonic Queen Spider to complete the third part of the Raven quest. Doing so will reward you with a Berserker Armor recipe. If you are farming ores in the Red Cave, then you must kill them to avoid being interrupted.

Best weapons and loadout to beat Demonic Queen Spider

Beating the Demonic Queen Spider is much easier if you treat it like a late-game mini-boss: use strong Frostspire-tier weapons, tanky armor, and a mobile, damage-focused loadout. The main goal is to kill her fast while dodging the opening web shot and her leg swipes so you never get stuck trading hits.

  • Use a high-damage Frostspire/World 3 weapon (sword, greatsword, or other melee) that matches your build; low-tier or early-island gear makes the fight drag because she has around 13,500-24,750 HP.

  • Prioritize weapons with fast swing speed or strong heavy attacks so you can hit during her recovery after the web projectile and between leg swipes.

  • If you have any late-game ranged option (bows, magic, or guns), you can open with ranged damage while sidestepping the first web shot, then swap to melee when she closes in.

Armor and defense

  • Wear late-game armor built from strong Frostspire ores or other high-tier materials so you can survive mistakes and tank some melee hits.

  • Aim for armor on par with the surrounding level-70+ content in Crimson/Red/Raven Cave; going in under-geared drastically increases the time to kill and punishes every hit you take.

  • If your build allows, favor pieces that give extra HP or damage reduction over pure damage, since her melee hits are among the stronger ones on Frostspire Expanse.

Accessories, race, and stats

  • Equip accessories that boost raw damage, crit chance, or attack speed so you burn through her large health pool quicker.

  • Races like Demon or Angel work well because they add offensive and survivability bonuses that help in long late-game fights with dense mobs around.

  • Put most of your stat investment into your main damage stat (for your weapon type), with enough health/defense so a couple of mistakes do not kill you outright.

Consumables and utilities

  • Bring multiple healing items; they let you recover from stray web hits or leg swipes without abandoning pressure.

  • Use any movement/haste consumables or buffs your build offers; staying mobile is key to dodging the opening web ball and circling around her legs.

  • Clear nearby smaller Demonic Spiders before fully committing to the Queen so you are not getting hit from off-screen while focusing on her.

Simple game plan

  • At the start, sidestep the opening web projectile, then dash in and land a short combo during her recovery.

  • After that, stay close but keep moving in a circle around her to avoid the frontal leg swipes, attacking in short, safe windows instead of long, greedy combos.

  • If you ever get low, kite her briefly using your movement tools and heal, then re-engage; with proper late-game gear, a few clean cycles is enough to finish her.

If you share your current weapon, armor, and level, a more specific “use X, replace Y, and change Z stat points” loadout can be suggested for your character.

Optimal weapon types for fighting the Demonic Queen Spider

Against the Demonic Queen Spider, the most effective weapon types are fast melee (katanas/straight swords) and strong-but-mobile two-handers, with ranged only as support for her opening attacks. These match her patterns: a dodgeable web projectile plus short melee strings that reward quick punishes instead of slow, greedy swings.

Fast melee (best all-round)

  • Katanas and straight swords shine because of their quick swings and recovery, letting you dash in after her web shot or leg stab, land a short combo, and get out safely.

  • Their speed also helps apply steady damage without being locked in long animations when she uses slam or shout attacks that punish standing still.

Heavy melee (great if you’re confident)

  • Greatswords, hammers, or other heavy weapons work well if you already know her timing, since she has predictable windows after the projectile or slam where slow big hits can land.

  • The tradeoff is risk: mistiming one heavy swing can leave you stuck in her damage-over-time melee and leg combo, so these are better for experienced players or co-op.

Ranged weapons (support, not main)

  • Bows or other ranged options are good for the very start of the fight to poke her while you sidestep the first web projectile, or to chip her when you need to heal and kite.

  • Staying full ranged is weaker here because the cave space and her projectile/shout make it hard to maintain safe distance for the whole fight, so treat ranged as a tool, not your primary damage plan.

What to prioritize on any weapon

  • Favor weapons with high DPS and good mobility (decent swing speed, not just raw single-hit damage) so you can punish multiple times per opening.

  • Combine your chosen weapon with high-defense gear and healing items so you can afford a few mistakes while still keeping aggressive uptime on her HP bar.

If you tell your exact weapon and build (melee vs ranged, level, and armor), a tailored recommendation like “stick with X, swap to Y, and change how you engage” can be given.
