Fisch Astraeus Serenade Rod Quest Guide – How to Get Item Level Gaming Info

Guides

In Fisch, the Astraeus Serenade Rod isn’t just gear-it’s a whispered invitation to chase legends beneath the lake’s glassy surface.

How to Obtain Astraeus Serenade Rod in Fisch

Complete the quest from NPC Astraeus in Astraeus’ Void after reaching level 1000. Gather items like Dusky Thread from spirits in Natural Windy using Blessed Moon Wood, plus resin from Mushgrove Swamp and 50 million C$ payment. The rod offers 100% Lure Speed, 400% Luck, 0.3 Control, 20% Resilience, infinite Max Kg, and +50% Progress Speed, with passives triggering star falls and progress boosts every few seconds.

To obtain the Astraeus Serenade Rod, you must complete certain difficult tasks in Fisch. Here is how you can obtain the Astraeus Serenade Rod:

1. Get Dusky Thread

The first quest to the Fisch Astraeus Serenade Rod is crafting the Dusky Thread. The Dusky Thread can be obtained from Merlin as the reward for submitting the three requested items:

  • Celestial Radiant Crystal
  • Serene Radiant Crystal
  • Breezed Radiant Crystal

You can find all three fish from the Mineshaft, which was added after the Merlin Rework. The Mineshaft can be accessed by jumping on the sea behind Merlin’s house. However, you can’t enter the location normally without Merlin’s Veil.

2. Place the Required Materials

Once quest 1 is done, go to Cursed Isle and go outside the Great Dreamers Rod cabin. You will find the Shadow NPC. Hold a Resin, Driftwood, and Molten Ripple, and press the E key to place it in the dirt. To complete the quest, you must follow the order: Resin –> Driftwood –> Molten Ripple.

  • Resin: Fish at Mushgrove Swamp
  • Driftwood: Best found at Sunstone Crate Cave -1145, 135, -1075
  • Molten Ripple: Fish at Roslit Volcano -1945, 275, 230

You must have Foggy Night to find the NPC. Remember, the NPC only spawns at the end of a night. So, you can sundial and quickly complete the task. After doing the task, you will get the Astronomical Fretboard in Fisch.

3. Talk to White Ghost

On a natural windy night, go to the top of the Northern Expedition mountain. This will be on the peak opposite of the Wind Elemental Rod monk location. You can use Fisch GPS and follow these coordinates: 20094, 1227, 5395. Make sure it is a natural windy night; using a totem will not spawn it.

Once the weather is applicable, hold a Heavenly Flying Fish to make the spirit appear and give it a Blessed Moonwood. It will give you the Twilight Pegs in Fisch.

4. Talk to Astraeus

Go to the Underground Music Venue and use the Starfall Totem. Click on the Guitar, Drum, and Mic in no exact order. This will teleport you to the Astraeus room. Talk to Astraeus and turn in all the items to get the Astraeus Serenade rod in Fisch. Here is the list of items you need to give Astraeus:

  • Dusky Thread
  • Twilight Pegs
  • Astronomical Fretboard
  • Lunar Scrap
  • Nova Resin
  • 1 Breezed Bloop Fish
  • 1 Celestial Colossal Ethereal Dragon
  • 2 Serene Strings
  • Pay 50,000,000C$

Fisch Astraeus Serenade Rod Stats and Abilities

The Astraeus Serenade Rod is a high-tier fishing rod recognized for its balanced performance and elegant design. It offers increased bite rate and faster tension recovery, making it suitable for catching rare fish in deep waters. The rod provides moderate durability with good handling stability, reducing line breaks during extended fishing sessions. Its passive ability enhances success rates when timing reeling actions precisely, rewarding skilled players who manage tension accurately.

Astraeus Serenade Rod is decent for what it offers in Fisch. The stats are uneven, but the high luck gives it some value when you want more rare catches. Resilience is extremely low, so the fishing feels quite slow when luring, yet the rod still works fine for normal fishing if you use the right Fisch enchants to balance it out.

  • Lure Speed: 100%
  • Luck: 400%
  • Control: 0.2
  • Resilience: 20%
  • Max Kg: infkg
  • Progress Speed: 50%

The passive is doing most of the heavy lifting on the Astraeus Serenade Rod in Fisch. Every 2.5 seconds, there is a 10% chance to push the progress bar forward by 25%, which sounds modest on paper but can save a run when the bar is stalling. There is also another 10% chance to freeze the bar and instantly boost it to 100%, which is the real hook and the only reason this rod ever feels exciting.

Outside of that, the stats stay firmly in the average lane. You are not getting consistent speed or control advantages, just occasional spikes that feel good when they land. While the passive makes some sense and can clutch a catch now and then, the grind behind this rod does not really justify the payoff. It ends up feeling more like a novelty than a reliable upgrade, especially for players who value steady progress over lucky swings.

Best Enchantments for Fisch Astraeus Serenade Rod

The Astraeus Serenade Rod benefits from enchantments that boost its low Resilience and Control stats. Piercing pairs with Overclocked for general catches, improving lure speed and handling. Santa with Sea Prince or Sea Overlord maximizes money gains, while Blessed Song plus Tryhard or Fractured with Overclocked speeds up catches. Herculean serves as another strong option for overall performance.

While the passive is great on the Astraeus Serenade rod in Fisch, the stats need improvement in Control and Resilience. That is why we suggest using enchant relics, exalted relics, or cosmic relics and giving the rod a good enchantment. Here are the enchants you must try with the Astraeus Serenade rod in Fisch:

  • Resilient: 35% Resilience and 10% size boost
  • Controlled: 0.15 Control
  • Herculean: 25,000 Max Kg, 0.2 Control and 10% Progress Speed
  • Quantum: 25% Resilience and 25% chance for Subspace (6x)

Needed materials and exact locations to craft Dusky Thread

Dusky Thread is not crafted directly by you; it is given by Merlin after you turn in three specific Radiant Crystal fish with exact mutations, all caught in the Mineshaft.

Required materials

You must submit these three mutated Radiant Crystals to Merlin as part of Astraeus Serenade quest Part 1.

  • Celestial Radiant Crystal – Radiant Crystal with the Celestial mutation.

  • Serene Radiant Crystal – Radiant Crystal with the Serene mutation.

  • Breezed Radiant Crystal – Radiant Crystal with the Breezed mutation.

All three are the same base fish (Radiant Crystal) but with different mutations, and all are fished in the same general area: the Mineshaft.

Exact fishing location: Mineshaft

You can only get the needed Radiant Crystals in the Mineshaft, a special cave area unlocked through Merlin’s content.

  • Go behind Merlin’s house and jump into the sea; this leads to the hidden entrance to the Mineshaft.

  • You must have Merlin’s Veil equipped/obtained to actually enter the Mineshaft; without it, the barrier blocks you.

Once inside, fish anywhere in the Mineshaft waters for Radiant Crystal, then use the correct rods to roll the right mutations.

Best rods and mutation chances

Using the proper rods greatly increases the chance of each mutation on Radiant Crystal.

  • Serene Radiant Crystal: Use Polaris Serenade Rod or Duskwire Rod; both give a small but notable chance for the Serene mutation when catching Radiant Crystal.

  • Celestial Radiant Crystal: Use the Celestial Rod, ideally with a strong enchant (like Herculean) because Radiant Crystal is hard to land; this rod is required to roll the Celestial mutation.

  • Breezed Radiant Crystal: Use the Wind Elemental Rod, which has around a 25-30% chance to give the Breezed mutation on Radiant Crystal.

After you have one of each mutated Radiant Crystal, talk to Merlin and complete Astraeus Serenade quest Part 1; he will automatically convert them into Dusky Thread and place it in your inventory.

Where to find Serene Radiant Crystal in the Mineshaft

Serene Radiant Crystal only comes from Radiant Crystal catches inside the Mineshaft’s main water pool, but it is tied to your rod rather than to a special sub-area of the pool.

Where in the Mineshaft

  • Enter the Mineshaft using Merlin’s Veil, then head down until you reach the central underground water pool; this is the only fishing spot that gives Radiant Crystal (and thus Serene Radiant Crystal).

  • You do not need special bait or to stand on a precise tile; fish anywhere on that pool’s shoreline and every Radiant Crystal roll there has a chance to be Serene if your rod supports it.

How to force the Serene mutation

  • Use Polaris Serenade Rod or Duskwire Rod when fishing the Mineshaft pool; these rods tag Radiant Crystal with the Serene mutation, turning it into Serene Radiant Crystal when it bites.

  • If you do not own Polaris, Duskwire with good enchants (Herculean/Enduring) plus patience will still work, as the Serene roll is rare and may take many Radiant Crystal catches to appear.
