Best Fish It Spots for Money Making

Swing by the deep ocean trench at map’s edge, where rare golden fish pop up often enough to fill your inventory quick. Making money to get the best rods in Fish It can be a challenge if you don’t have the right knowledge. While the Fish It codes will help you get some money easily, eventually you must start fishing to catch the fish that make you quick bucks. Below is the list of the best locations in Fish It to catch high-value fish and make money:

1. Kohana Volcano

  • Best Rods: Element Rod, Ghostfin Rod, or Bamboo Rod
  • Best Bobbers: Corrupt or Aether Bobber
  • Best Enchants: Big Hunter II, Leprechaun I, or Empowered I
  • Best Catch: Blueflame Ray and the Magma Shark

Kohana Volcano is the best location in Fish It to farm the most amount of money. If you are a new player and see plenty of people fishing there, don’t be surprised. You can access it inside the mountain of the Kohana Island. All the fish in this location yield a lot of money, but you should be looking out for the Blueflame Ray and the Magma Shark.

New players can use whichever rod they have, with some beginner Bobbers. However, if you are an experienced angler, make sure to use the Corrupt or Aether Bobber. Use Element Rod, Ghostfin Rod, Bamboo rod, or any rod with higher stats.

With your fishing rods, you can use various Fish It enchants. Use Stargazer I for 60% more luck if you are fishing at night. You can even consider using Big Hunter II, Leprechaun I, or Empowered I enchants to increase the size of the fish and apply mutations to them.

2. Esoteric Depths

  • Best Rods: Ghostfin Rod, or Bamboo Rod
  • Best Bobbers: Corrupt, Chroma, or Dark Matter Bobber
  • Best Enchants: Big Hunter II, Leprechaun I, or Empowered I
  • Best Catches: Abyss Seahorse, Brown Megalodon, and Armored Shark.

Esoteric Depths is the second-best location for making money, and you can start fishing right next to the Enchant Altar. This location, like the previous one, has a lot of good fish. But you can also get almost guaranteed Enchant Stones by fishing for a few minutes. You can either sell the stones or use them to make your rods better. The main catch in this area will be the Abyss Seahorse, Brown Megalodon, or the Armored Shark.

We recommend that you use your best fishing rod to fish in this area. Use any Legendary, Secret, or Mythic rods, if you have any. Pair them with enchants that boost luck, increase the fish size, or apply mutations like the Leprechaun I or Empowered I. For early to mid-game players, using the Chroma or Dark Matter Bobber will be your best choice. Once you have enough money, go for the Corrupt, Aether, or Royal Bait Bobber.

3. Sacred Temple

  • Best Rods: Ghostfin Rod, Bamboo Rod, or Ares Rod
  • Best Bobbers: Chroma or Dark Matter Bobber
  • Best Enchants: Big Hunter II, Leprechaun I, or Empowered I
  • Best Catches: Temple Spokes Tunes and Manoai Statue Fish

The Sacred Temple is located inside the Ancient Jungle, between the Kohana Volcano and the Esoteric Depths. However, the location is locked behind puzzles, which you’ll need to solve. Once the door has opened, you’ll get access to the temple, which has the game’s best fishing rod. This is also the location for the Gran El Maja.

We added this location to our list, as you’ll be spending a lot of time completing Element Rod quests and fishing in the area. The fish you farm can give a lot of money when sold, especially the higher rarity ones. Temple Spokes Tunes and Manoai Statue Fish are the highest rarity fish that yield a lot of money.

To get all the rare fish, you need rods with higher stats. For now, you can use your best rods until you have enough money to buy some good ones. For Bobbers and enchantments, you can use the same ones that we have mentioned in the previous locations.

Bonus Location: Treasure Room

  • Best Rods: Element Rod
  • Best Bobbers: Aether Bobber
  • Best Enchants: Big Hunter II, Leprechaun I, or Empowered I
  • Best Catches: Kraken, Queen Crab, King Crab, Robot Kraken, and Panther Eel

We have added a bonus location for you to farm a lot of money. This is one of the difficult locations for fishing, and a must-visit place if you are trying to finish the Deep Sea Quest to get the Ghostfinn Rod. There are a total of 16 fish in this area, with five secret ones and one Mythic. Your best bet will be aiming for these, as they yield the most amount of money. However, you must also have some of the best rods, bobbers, and relevant enchantments to increase your chances of catching them.

The Kraken, Queen Crab, King Crab, Robot Kraken, and the Panther Eel are the ones you should be hunting for. The Element Rod works like magic to catch them. But, if you don’t have it yet, use any Mythic or Legendary rod. If possible, use Mutation Hunter II, or Leprechaun II for more luck and mutation chance. You can even consider fishing at night with the Stargazer I enchantment or during the rain with the Stormhunter I enchantment.

Lastly, use some of your best Bobbers. You can use the Dark Matter Bobber or Corrupt Bobber, if you have the option to buy them. They give around 160-200% luck with mutation and shiny chances. But if you are already rich, then the Aether Bobber will be your best choice. It costs 3,700,000 coins and gives you 240% luck, 20% mutation chance, and 10% shiny chance.

Best early-game money farms in Fish It

Kohana Volcano is the best early-game money farm in Fish It, even for brand-new players, because its fish consistently sell for hundreds of coins each. You can go there immediately by boat, even with starter gear, and use the income to quickly upgrade your rod and other equipment.

Core early-game spot

  • Kohana Volcano (inside Kohana Island mountain): Identified as the top early-game Coin farming location, with many catches worth several hundred coins each, letting you snowball upgrades very fast.

  • Accessible at low progression: The game does not hard-lock you by level, so you can sail there early; weaker rods just fail on some high-weight fish, not all of them.

  • Ice Rod: Recommended as the early-game money-farming rod, purchasable for 5,000 Coins in the Rod Store, with balanced Luck, Lure Speed, and Weight Capacity.

  • Priority: Use Kohana Volcano income to rush Ice Rod first, as the better stats help land more of the valuable fish that you are already hooking there.

How to fish Kohana Volcano early

  • Start with starter rod → fish anywhere convenient until 5,000 Coins, buy Ice Rod, then move straight to Kohana Volcano to farm.

  • Focus on volume: Catch and sell everything instead of chasing only rares; the consistent 100-300+ Coin fish adds up quickly at this spot.

Extra ways to boost early income

  • Do basic quests: Early quests that ask for simple catches or sell counts can pay large one-time Coin rewards alongside your Vol

Which rods and bobbers to use for early money farming

For early-game money farming in Fish It, aim for a simple progression: stick with your starter rod briefly, rush a strong “first real” rod, and pair it with a cheap luck-focused bobber to increase rare/value fish rates. This keeps costs low while noticeably boosting coin income compared to using only the default setup.

Early-game rod progression

  • Starter rod → first upgrade: Stay on the starter rod only long enough to afford your first proper upgrade; guides recommend going straight into an early luck-focused rod like Luck/Grass-type or similar first-tier upgrades rather than buying many small sidegrades.

  • First main farming rod: Community and guide recommendations converge on getting a mid-tier “all-rounder” rod (for example Steampunk/Steady-style rods in guides) because they offer higher luck, better lure speed, and more weight capacity, making them excellent for early money farming in places like Kohana Volcano.

Best early-game bobbers

  • Cheap luck bobber: Grab the first affordable bobber that directly increases luck, since more luck means more rares and better sale prices per hour, which is more impactful early than tiny stat boosts.

  • Progress to Chroma/Dark Matter later: Money-making guides recommend Chroma or Dark Matter bobbers as strong choices once you can afford them, but they are usually overkill in very early game when your priority should be securing a solid rod first.

Enchants that help money

  • Core money enchants: Big Hunter and Leprechaun enchants are repeatedly highlighted because they increase fish size/value and add profitable mutations that raise sale prices.

  • When to add enchants: In the very early game, it is more cost-efficient to first buy your main rod and a basic luck bobber, then start applying cheap ranks of these enchants once you have a steady income spot like Kohana Volcano unlocked.

If you share which rod you currently own and your coin amount, a more exact “buy this rod → this bobber → these enchants” order can be laid out for you.
