Fischmas Event Guide: Festive Relics in Fisch – Location Uses and Buffs

Guides

Glowing with seasonal energy and wrapped in mystery, the Festive Relic in Fisch isn’t just another collectible-it’s a powerful tool that can transform your rod’s enchantments and boost your fishing rewards in unexpected ways.

How to Obtain Festive Relic in Fisch

To obtain the Festive Relic, travel to Moosewood and use the magical train on the south side of the area to reach the winter village during the Fischmas event. Once there, head toward the Glacial Ridge igloos and purchase a Festive Relic for 2,500 Bells, or fish in the waters around Northstar Castle for a chance to reel one in as a special catch. You can also earn a single Festive Relic by completing certain seasonal quests in the winter village, such as helping NPCs like Sam under the snow near the Christmas tree once you collect enough snowballs.

The Festive Relic is a limited-time Fischmas item and is only obtainable in the new winter village region. To get there, you must interact with the Magical train stationed at Moosewood. Currently, there are two main ways to get this item: either by purchasing it directly using some bells or through fishing. So, check out both the methods in detail below:

1. Purchasing from the Igloo at Glacial Ridge

Now, the very basic step is to get to the Northstar Station using the train at Moosewood. Once there, head straight and leave the first island to reach the Glacial Ridge. This small island is packed with Igloos, and the fun part is that you can go inside each of them.

Each Igloo provides a different Christmas item. But you must ignore the first two and climb up the ladder to get to the center of the island. Here, you will find an Igloo beside a snowman leaning on a tree. Just push yourself inside through the Igloo entrance, and you’ll get inside.

The Festive Relic can be found here, and you can purchase it by paying a sum of 2500 Bells. If you’re short on some Bells in Fisch, try checking out our linked guide for a few quick tips to make some.

2. From Fishing in the Northstar Castle Waters

The first method might not work if you have just started with the Fischmas event in Fisch. So, what you can do is fish in the waters around the Northstar Castle, since it gives you a chance to reel in the Festive Relic as a part of the Fischmas 2 bestiary.

In order to get these relics fast, you can try switching to rods that give bonus fish on a certain number of catches, such as the Great Dreamer Rod. Otherwise, you can go with fishing rods having higher lure and progress speeds, like the Eidolon Rod or even the Wind Elemental Rod. The best condition to get this relic is clear weather in the Winter season.

3. Snowball Sam Quest

Sam is stuck under the snow near the Christmas Tree. Bring 15 Snowballs for him to complete the quest and get 1x Festive Relic.

What is the Use of Festive Relic in Fisch

Festive Relic in Fisch grants Gingerbread or Merry enchantments to your rod, boosting fish size and rod progress during the Fischmas event.

Similar to all the Enchant Relics introduced earlier in Fisch, the Festive Relic is also capable of enchanting your rod with powerful traits. However, these are tied up with the Fischmas event and give your rod the ability to get Fischmas-themed mutations on the fish you catch as well.

So, if you use the Festive Relic on your rod, it will get the Gingerbread or Merry enchantment, thereby having the following traits:

Gingerbread

  • 10% chance for fish to get the Gingerbread mutation (5x)
  • Increases the size of fish by 40%
  • Increases the progress speed of your rod by 10%

Merry

  • 10% chance for fish to get the Merry mutation (5x)
  • Increases the lure speed by 35%
  • Increases the progress speed of your rod by 35%

Peppermint

  • 10% chance for Peppermint (5x)
  • 15% chance per fish movement to stab for 1% progress
  • 25% Luck

What enchantments does Festive Relic apply to rods

Festive Relic can apply three specific Fischmas-themed enchantments to rods: Merry, Gingerbread, and Peppermint. These appear as either primary or secondary enchants depending on the roll.

Primary Festive enchants

  • Merry: Gives a 10% chance for a Merry mutation on fish and significantly increases both lure speed and progress speed, around +35% each.

  • Gingerbread: Gives about a 10% chance for Gingerbread mutation, increases fish size (up to roughly +40%), and adds extra progress speed on your rod.

Peppermint secondary enchant

  • Peppermint (secondary only): Gives a 10% chance for the Peppermint mutation and around a 40% chance per fish movement to stab for +1% progress.

  • Also increases Luck by roughly 25%, making it strong for farming rare and mutated fish when combined with other good primary enchants.

List all possible primary enchantments from Festive Relic

Festive Relic can only roll two different primary (main) enchantments on rods: Merry and Gingerbread.

Primary enchantments list

  • Merry (Primary): Gives a 10% chance for Merry mutation, increases rod lure speed by about 35%, and increases progress speed by about 35%.

  • Gingerbread (Primary): Gives a 10% chance for Gingerbread mutation, increases fish size by about 40%, and increases progress speed by about 10%.

Peppermint only appears as a secondary enchantment from Festive Relic, not as a primary.
