Speak with the NPC Mira who stands by the ancient bell tower during daytime hours. She will share details about the mourning echoes after you complete a short dialogue sequence confirming your readiness. Make sure your Adventure Rank meets the minimum requirement of 50 and you have progressed through prior Archon Quests in the area. The quest marker appears on your map once activated.
The Bell of Mourning Echoes is a unique case, as it can only be started after players obtain three separate items from around the Nod-Krai map. These items are:

- A Horn Unwinded
- Dyed Tassel

To complete The Bell of Mourning Echoes quest, begin by speaking with the quest-giver in the Nod-Krai region to receive your objective. Follow the navigation hints to locate the ancient bell and investigate the surrounding ruins. You’ll face several elemental puzzles and enemy encounters along the way, so prepare your team with balanced damage types. Once the puzzles are solved, interact with the bell to trigger a cutscene and conclude the quest, receiving Primogems, Mora, and regional materials as rewards.
To complete the Bell of Mourning Echoes, you will first have to collect the three items and then put them on Sigurd’s grave. This quest can be divided into the following sections:
- Find Undying One’s Mourning Bell, A Horn Unwinded, and Dyed Tassel
- Speak with the Lightkeepers in Nasha Town
- Place the items on Sigurd’s grave

1. Find the Required Items
The Undying One’s Mourning Bell can be found by closing the Tideseal Stone west of Clink-Clank Krumkake Craftshop. Once you approach the Tideseal Stone, Sigurd will appear and start fighting against the Wild Hunt.
You need to defeat all the Wild Hunt monsters to close the Tideseal Stone and obtain the Undying One’s Mourning Bell. For the A Horn Unwinded item, you will have to go to the northernmost end of Starsand Shoal.
Here, you will find another Tideseal Stone, and Sigurd will once again appear before you. Defeat all the Wild Hunt enemies to obtain the item.
Finally, to obtain the Dyed Tassel item, head to the western coast of Barrowmoss Barrens. This area will be just opposite of Starsand Shoal. After you reach this area, look for Tideseal Stone, defeat the spawned enemies, and obtain the final item.
Once you have found all three items, the Bell of Mourning Echoes quest will automatically begin.
2. Speak with the Lightkeepers in Nasha Town
Next, you need to speak with two Lightkeepers at Nasha town. Track the quest to get a marked location for the Lightkeeper NPCs in Nasha town. Speak with the Lightkeepers to learn about the significance of the items you’re carrying. The Lightkeepers will then tell you to place the items on Sigurd’s grave.
3. Place the Items on Sigurd’s Grave
Finally, you will see the location for Sigurd’s grave on your map. This place will be south of Blue Amber Lake. Once you reach the marked location, interact with Sigurd’s grave and submit all his clothes. Now, start the battle with Sigurd, who is the Local Legend of Lempo Isle in Nod-Krai. This will complete the quest.

Undying One’s Mourning Bell
Found west of Clink-Clank Krumkake Craftshop. Teleport to the nearby waypoint (near Knuckle Duckle boss), head northwest along the shore to the Tideseal Stones, close them, and clear the enemies-Sigurd aids briefly.
A Horn Unwinded
Located northwest of Starsand Shoal at a purple rift with Tideseal Stones. Glide or walk north from the area waypoint to the top-left shore corner, activate the stones, and defeat foes.
Dyed Tassel
Positioned east of Barrowmoss Barrens waypoint on the western coast (opposite Starsand Shoal). Interact with the shore Tideseal Stones, eliminate enemies to collect it.
Once all relics are gathered, visit Nasha Town’s Lightkeepers, then place them at Sigurd’s grave south of Blue Amber Lake to unlock the boss.

Finish at Grave
Interact with Sigurd’s gravestone (marked on map), submit the three relics, and battle him as the Local Legend boss. This completes the quest, awards 30 Primogems, chests, and the “Pro aris et focis” achievement, plus repeatable boss access.
