Genshin Impact Nod-Krai Quests Gift of the Mirage Guide September 2025

Guides

Mystery shrouds the new “Luna I: Gift of the Mirage” quest in Genshin Impact, where illusions twist reality and hidden truths await sharp-eyed travelers. This guide breaks down every challenge, clue, and reward that lies within miHoYo’s latest dreamlike adventure.

How to Start The Gift of the Mirage Quest in Genshin Impact

To begin The Gift of the Mirage quest, head to the new event area introduced in the Luna I update and interact with the quest marker on your map. You’ll receive a message from Kokomi requesting your assistance in investigating mysterious watery illusions appearing near Watatsumi Island. After speaking with her, follow the objective markers to meet the event’s key NPCs and progress through a short cutscene that sets the stage for the quest’s challenges.

You can start The Gift of the Mirage quest by heading to the west coastline of Frostmoon Enclave in Hiisi Island. You will find Pekkani on the coast, who is a member of the Frostmoon Scions. Speak with him, and he will ask you to find the cause of the disturbance in the area.

This will start the questline for you. Completing this quest is important if you want to finish the Polka Beneath the Moon’s Oracle World quest in Genshin Impact.

How to Complete The Gift of the Mirage Quest in Genshin Impact

Head to the west coast of Frostmoon Enclave on Hiisi Island and speak with Pekkani to begin the quest. Collect Kuuvahki power by striking nearby Atapetra Conchs, then grab the first two fragments floating in the water close to the central stone pillar and place them on its blue slots. For the third fragment, approach the statue southwest with a Kuuhenki, lift the submerged platform to reveal a Moon Mirror, retrieve the fragment through it while powered, carry it back using conch circles to refresh energy, and slot it onto the stone to trigger its ascent and finish the objective.

To complete the Gift of the Mirage quest in Genshin Impact, you will have to find three fragments in the ocean and place them on the main stone. The following sections go into detail about each of the fragments’ location and how you can carry it to the stone.

The First and Second Fragments Locations

The first two fragments can be found right next to the main Stone pillar. Look into the ocean near the pillar to find two fragments floating nearby. However, you won’t be able to pick them up as you are not empowered with Kuuvahki.

So, to get empowered, look for Conch Shells nearby and hit them with a charged attack. After they break, the shells would leave a blue circle. Walk into the circle to become empowered.

Pick the two fragments from the ocean by pressing the ‘T’ key and turn to the main stone. Place the fragments on the stone, on any of the blue-marked areas.

The Third Fragment Location

For the third fragment, go to the right until you see a statue in the ocean with a Kuuhenki nearby. Get near the statue and use the power of Kuuvahki to lift the platform underwater. This will raise a Moon Mirror. Look inside the Moon mirror to find the third fragment.

Use the power of the Kuuvahki to grab the fragment from the other side. Next, carry the fragment to the main stone. You can break the Conch Shells on the way to create empowered states if the distance is too far for you to carry them. Now, place the fragment on the stone to complete it. The stone will now lift by itself and connect with the main stone in the sky. Finally, speak with Pekkani to complete the quest.

Where to find each of the three fragments on Hiisi Island

Each of the three fragments for “Gift of the Mirage” is in the water just off the same shore where you speak to Pekkani on Hiisi Island. Two are immediately visible, floating in the open, while the third starts submerged and is revealed via the nearby Moon Mirror mechanism.

Fragment 1 – Left-side floating piece

  • From Pekkani’s rock, look out toward the sea and slightly to the left; the first fragment is floating on the surface inside a red-blue force field close to shore.

  • Break a nearby blue Atapetra Conch on the sand to gain Kuuvahki, then wade out and pick this fragment up from its field.

Fragment 2 – Right-side floating piece

  • Still facing the water from Pekkani, look slightly to the right to find the second fragment, also floating in the open with the same colored field.

  • Empower yourself with the closest Atapetra Conch on the right side of the beach, then grab this fragment from the water and bring it back toward the big stone.

Fragment 3 – Submerged / Moon Mirror piece

  • Follow the shoreline away from Pekkani toward the small stone statue and white Kuuhenki device at the end of the beach; this is where the hidden third fragment lies under the water.

  • Use Kuuvahki at the plant near the white Kuuhenki to pull up the submerged stone twice; this reveals the third fragment, after which a Moon Mirror appears so you can see and then carry this fragment back to the main stone.

Show a map with the three fragment locations on Hiisi Island

A precise in-game map image cannot be shown directly here, but the three fragment spots are all clustered on the small southern beach of Hiisi Island, right in front of Pekkani and the large stone structure in the water. The easiest way to “map” them is to use the in-game minimap plus an interactive world map and match the shoreline curve.

Simple text “map” of the locations

  • Reference point: Start from the Frostmoon Enclave waypoint on Hiisi Island, then glide south-southwest to the small beach where you meet Pekkani; the large quest stone is just offshore here.

  • If you open your world map, this beach is on the south-central edge of Hiisi Island, slightly west of the island’s southernmost tip.

Relative positions on that beach

  • Fragment 1 – West/left side in water: Facing the sea from Pekkani, this fragment is in the water a bit to the left, very close to shore and almost directly in line with the left side of the big stone pillar.

  • Fragment 2 – East/right side in water: Still facing the sea, the second fragment is a little to the right, again just off the shoreline, roughly in line with the right side of the big stone pillar.

Hidden fragment and Moon Mirror spot

  • Fragment 3 – Southeast shore/Kuuhenki spot: From Pekkani, follow the curved beach slightly east/southeast until you reach a small stone statue and a white Kuuhenki device partly in the water; this is the location you’d mark for the third fragment.

  • When you stand by this statue/Kuuhenki, a submerged platform in front of it marks where the third fragment rises; on a map, it’s just a few steps out from that shoreline point, still on the same small bay.

How to get a visual map

  • Open an interactive map (for example, the community Genshin world map) and zoom to Hiisi Island in Nod-Krai.

  • Place three custom pins as follows: one just left of the Pekkani beach icon on the shoreline, one just right of it on the same curve, and one slightly southeast near the Kuuhenki/three-statue puzzle marker. This will recreate the quest’s three fragment locations in your own map view.
