1. King Crab

How to spawn: Spawns naturally with a 0.018% chance every second (about once every 1.5 hours) if no other King Crab is alive, or can be summoned using the Seafarer’s Horn from the Combat Guild after defeating it once.

King Crab is the easiest boss in Dig and is often the first one players defeat. It spawns randomly along the beach in the Cinder Shores region and attacks by dropping coconuts that deal 35 damage. Dodge the red attack markers by jumping out of the area.

2. Candlelight Phantom

How to spawn: Spawns naturally with a 0.01% chance every second (about once every 2.8 hours) if no other Candlelight Phantom is alive, or can be summoned using the Phantom Horn from the Combat Guild after defeating it once.

The Candlelight Phantom is a boss you must face early to get a good early-game shovel in Dig. It spawns naturally at Rooftop Woodlands, the same area where you can find the Spore Spade shovel.

With 65,000 HP, this boss is a tank, so it’s best to bring friends, as soloing it can be rough for beginners and mid-game players. The Candlelight Phantom uses Phantom Spikes (Cross) and Phantom Spikes (Star) attacks, summoning four-way or eight-way spike patterns that deal 25 damage, hitting up to three times if you stay in their path.

3. Fuzzball

How to spawn: Can only be summoned by interacting with the Mysterious Flower in Verdant Vale, which spawns naturally with a 2.5% chance every 20-100 seconds (around every 40 minutes on average).

Fuzzball is a sneaky bunny boss found in Verdant Vale and only spawns when a player activates the Mysterious Flower, with no server announcement beforehand. It has the lowest HP among all bosses, but its attack covers the entire area, making everyone run for their lives.

Fuzzball uses a Bounce attack, a shockwave that deals 50 damage if not dodged in time. You’ll only get 3-4 safe shovel hits per cycle (up to 5-6 if timed well), unless you use some good jumping or healing Dig charms.

4. Giant Spider

How to spawn: Can only be spawned using the Webs Horn, which is purchased from the Combat Guild after the player has defeated 5 bosses in total.

The Giant Spider boss is located inside Spider’s Keep on Level 1 of Cinder Cavern, which you can access by paying $1000 at the elevator and following the cobwebs. Since it doesn’t spawn naturally, you’ll need to use the Webs Horn in the Spider’s Keep area.

The Giant Spider uses two attacks called Slam and Web Beam. Slam is a shockwave that deals 50 damage, and Web Beam fires in random directions for 10 damage and halves your boss damage temporarily. Bring one of the best Dig shovels to kill bosses, like the Slayers Shovel, to kill it faster. You must also dodge the slam attack properly to survive the fight longer.

5. Basilisk

How to spawn: Spawns naturally with a 0.009% chance every second (about once every 3.1 hours) if no other boss is active, or can be summoned using the Toxic Horn from the Combat Guild after defeating it once.

Before finding and defeating the Basilisk, you must complete 50% of the Cinder Island journal and get level 20 to get the Cinder Ferry ticket. Take the ferry and reach Copper Mesa first. The Basilisk spawns randomly in Copper Mesa, either naturally or by using a Toxic Horn from the Combat Guild after defeating it once.

During the fight, the snake emerges partially from the ground and attacks with fast spikes inside its ring, dealing 35 damage. With 95,000 HP, it will take a lot of time to take the Basilisk down. However, if you stand on the outskirts of the circle, you won’t need to move much during the fight.

6. Molten Monstrosity

How to spawn: Can only be spawned by interacting with it while holding a Blue Moon horn in Dig, purchased from Tiki’s Shop in Alona Jungle.

The Molten Monstrosity is considered the current final boss in Dig, located in Mount Charcoal on the second island. To reach this area, you’ll need Magma Boots, an endgame item required to access the lava-filled area. Unlike other bosses, the horn must be held and not used to wake the boss, and after defeat, it takes 5 minutes to respawn.

It spawns with a massive 350,000 HP, making it one of the toughest fights, and you will need help from friends to take it down. The Molten Monstrosity uses fire breath to cover a wide area for 50 damage and falling rocks to drop volleys that deal 10 damage in smaller zones. If you cannot defeat it within time, after respawning, you can fight it again.

7. Dire Wolf

  • How to spawn: Spawns one minute after the Blood Moon event occurs.

The Dire Wolf is a limited-time boss in Dig that only spawns during a Blood Moon event, which occurs every 4 hours. It appears in front of the elevator at Cinder Cavern with 100,000 HP, so bring friends, a strong shovel, and attack-boosting charms.

The wolf attacks with fire breath, dealing 40-80 damage over time and spikes that hit for 25 damage if you are caught in their red markers. As the wolf howls before an attack, it is easy to dodge them.

How to Spawn Bosses in Dig

Bosses in Dig appear after meeting certain conditions tied to specific biomes or events. Players usually need to clear an area, defeat a number of regular enemies, or interact with unique objects to trigger the boss spawn. Some bosses require using special items obtained from chests or crafting stations. Pay attention to sound cues or visual effects, as they often signal that a boss is about to appear. Team coordination and preparation before spawning a boss can make the battle much smoother.

Bosses in Dig spawn naturally at regular intervals, so all you need is patience while exploring and digging around different regions. When a boss appears, you’ll see an exclamation mark at the top of your screen with a message like “boss_name” has been spotted near “location_name“.

Some bosses can also be summoned manually using specific Dig horns, but you must first defeat specific bosses once to unlock their horn at the Combat Guild in Fernhill Forest.

To spawn the Molten Monstrosity in Mount Charcoal, you will need the Blue Moon Horn from Tiki’s Shop in Alona Jungle. Now that you know how spawns work, let’s go over how to fight a boss in Dig.

How to Fight Bosses in Dig

Boss fights in Dig require strong gear, good timing, and smart movement. Watch each boss’s attack pattern closely and strike during openings to avoid taking heavy damage. Bring plenty of healing items and tools that match the boss’s weaknesses. Team up with other players for faster kills and to cover different combat roles. After the fight, check the drops carefully-rare loot can give a major boost to your mining and combat abilities.

The boss fights in Dig have a unique combat mechanic where each fight takes place inside a circular ring. This ring marks both the attack range of the boss and the effective range of your shovel hits. If you are outside the circle, your shovel won’t deal damage, and if you’re inside, you’re also at risk of taking hits. So, the moment you face a boss in Dig, keep these points in mind to defeat it:

  • The very first tip is to bring a bunch of friends to the server while attacking a boss, unless you’ve a high damage tool like the Beast Slayer Shovel.
  • Now that the boss fight has started, head inside the circle with your shovel equipped and click the left mouse button to attack it.
  • Be careful about the attacks from the boss. They will be highlighted in red.
  • To dodge the attack, press the jump key once, and move to a safe area, or better get out of the circle.
  • If you manage to stay in the range of its attack, your health will deplete, and the health bar will be displayed on the top right of your screen.
  • Before attacking, every boss performs a specific animation or sound effect. Use that as a cue to get out of the damage zone.

So, the whole idea is to get in the circle, attack a few times with your shovel, and make your move the moment the boss makes an attack that comes your way. Repeat the whole process, and in no time, the creature will fall down, rewarding you with XP points, money, stickers, shovels, or valuable items.

Finally, during a boss fight, you can equip various damage-boosting or health regeneration charms. Also, use parry and healing charms to avoid going out of the area multiple times. You can even stack healing by using multiple healing charms. To boost damage, use the Monarch totem in Dig or eat consumables like the blueberry cupcake that increases damage dealt to bosses.

Which boss drops the Abyssal Shovel most often

King Crab drops the Abyssal Shovel most often in Roblox’s Dig. This boss, located in Cinder Shores near the Mechanic NPC, has a reliable 30% drop rate for the shovel based on player testing and guides.

Drop Details

The Abyssal Shovel offers strong stats like 5 Control, 9 Strength, 1 Haste, 20 Luck, and 35 Boss DMG, making it ideal for early-to-mid game boss fights on rock terrain. No other boss consistently drops it at a higher rate; for example, Candlelight Phantom drops its own shovel at 40%, but not Abyssal.

How to Farm

Head from Fox Town to Cinder Shores, enter the boss circle when it spawns (announced globally), and dig to deal damage while dodging rock attacks. King Crab has 35,000 HP and respawns on a cooldown or via horns after your first kill.

Where does the King Crab spawn in Cinder Shores

King Crab spawns randomly along the beach area in Cinder Shores, near the shoreline and rocky sections close to the Mechanic NPC.

Exact Location Details

Travel from Fox Town toward Cinder Shores, sticking to the sandy beachfront where fan coral and tube coral spawn-the boss circle forms directly on this shoreline when it appears. A server-wide announcement highlights the spawn, and summoned versions using the Seafarer’s Horn (bought from Combat Guild in Fernhill Forest post-first-kill) appear at the same fixed beach spot.

Engagement Notes

Enter the glowing circular arena on the beach to initiate combat; the boss has 35,000 HP and uses rock-based attacks best dodged by stepping out briefly. This spot allows efficient digging between hits while farming for the Abyssal Shovel (30% drop).
