All Star Tower Defense X Traits Tier List

The All Star Tower Defense X Traits Tier List ranks all unit traits based on their current strength and usefulness in both story and infinite modes. Traits affect how each unit performs in battle, influencing factors such as damage, attack speed, and special abilities. This guide helps players identify which traits provide the greatest advantage and which are less valuable, making it easier to plan upgrades and team setups for maximum impact.

Currently, All Star Tower Defense X has 13 traits players can choose from. Among these, traits like Perception, Dexterity, and others have three levels, each with increasing effectiveness. So, we’ve counted each level as its own trait while ranking them in our guide here.

Here, we have divided the traits into tiers, from S Tier to D Tier, depending on the value they add to the unit in the game. As you go up the ladder, it becomes increasingly tough to obtain the best traits due to their low drop rates. However, they are worth the effort due to their exceptional abilities and, hence, lie in the top-most S tier. The D tier, on the other hand, consists of basic traits that work well in the early stages of the game.

So, without further ado, check out where your favorite trait ranks in our All Star Tower Defense X traits tier list.

The top most category, S Tier consists of a single trait called All Star. This is no doubt the greatest trait of all in the game, and it’s literally in its name. While Midas helps in increasing the cash income from every stage as well as from eliminating enemies, Prodigy helps in increasing the amount of XP gained by each unit on every stage.

The Tempest trait adds to the attack rate and DoT damage of a unit, while Sharpshooter adds to the range of attacks. Another impressive ability of the Sharpshooter is that your units attack an extra enemy but, at a cost of its own health.

Trait Drop Rate Effect
Midas 5% 25% Farm income
5% Elimination income
Prodigy 10% 50% Unit XP gain from stages
Tempest 3% -10% SPD

C TierASTD X Traits: C Tier

The C Tier is only helpful in the early-mid game stages, when you might not have enough trait burners to unlock better ones in the higher tiers. However, that doesn’t mean these are bad in All Star Tower Defense X. As such, you can use Companion on any unit to increase the number of placements by 1.

Or, go with Zenkai to increase the damage output of your units. Dexterity increases the rate of attack for a unit while Perception increases the range of attacks. Now, you will notice that the traits are divided into their respective stages. You can also notice that Zenkai 3 has more damage boost that Zenkai 2 and its the same for other traits as well.

Trait Drop Rate Effect
Companion 2% 1 Placement
Zenkai 3 6.5% 10% DMG
Dexterity 3 6% -7% SPD
Perception 3 7% 7% RNG
Zenkai 2 8% 7% DMG

ASTD X Traits: D Tier

Finally, in the D Tier we have a few traits suitable only for a complete beginner in the game. This tier consists of some of the same traits you saw above in the C Tier, but the only difference is in their stage. These are all stage 2 and 1 versions of Perception, Zenkai, and Dexterity, that are low in providing with stat boosts, but easy to obtain.

Tank trait lies at the very bottom due to its useless boost of increasing the durability of any unit by 50%. Its something you should highly consider skipping since it increase almost no value of your unit.

Trait Drop Rate Effect
Perception 2 9% 5% RNG
Zenkai 1 10% 5% DMG
Dexterity 1 10% -3% SPD
Perception 1 11.5% 3% RNG

How to farm Trait Burners in All Star Tower Defense X

Trait Burners (Trait Rerolls) come from several repeatable activities, and the best strategy is to stack the highest-yield ones you can run consistently.

Best farming methods

  • Challenges (top priority)

    • Hard/Expert Challenges have one of the best Trait Burner drop rates, with many runs giving 2-4 Trait Burners if you clear them quickly.

    • Focus on the fastest map you can reliably speed-clear, and spam it instead of rotating randomly.

  • Dungeons (time-limited bursts)

    • Dungeons open every 4.5 hours for about 30 minutes and can drop a “decent amount” of Trait Burners per session.

    • Log in around dungeon times, clear as many runs as possible during the window, and use your strongest squad only.

Long-term grinds

  • Trial Shop

    • Trials let you convert Etri coins into Trait Burners (about 5 coins per Burner), with a total cap around 50 Burners from the shop.

    • Run Trials whenever you are strong enough and treat this as a slow, background stash of rerolls.

  • PvP / Arena Shop

    • Arena/PvP coins can also be traded for around 50 Trait Burners total, but the grind is harder than Trials.

    • Only prioritize this if you actually enjoy PvP or have a strong meta team.

Passive / side sources

  • Infinite mode (Void Bags)

    • Infinite can drop Void Bags that sometimes contain Trait Burners, alongside XP and other resources.

    • Use this when you are already farming XP or units; consider AFK-leaning runs with autoskip and a stable setup.

  • Quests, level rewards, dailies

    • Level rewards and daily/weekly quests frequently give Trait Burners as bonus rewards, especially around level milestones.

    • Clear your daily and weekly tasks first each play session, then dump extra time into Challenges or Trials.

Efficient farming tips

  • Focus your active grind on Challenges and Dungeons, and your AFK or relaxed grind on Infinite and story.

  • Avoid spending Trait Burners on bad or temporary units; wait until you have strong meta units before chasing top traits like All Star or Genesis.

Best challenge modes to farm Trait Burners fast

The fastest Trait Burner farming from challenges comes from Expert / Daily challenge modes that you can clear quickly and consistently.

Best challenge types

  • Daily Challenge (with Trait Burner reward)

    • Some daily challenge variants explicitly list Trait Burners in their rewards and typically give 2-4 Trait Burners per clear.

    • Prioritize the easiest daily challenge map you can speed-clear; ignore harder ones like AOT/City of York if they slow your runs down.

  • Expert Challenges with Trait Burner drop chance

    • Standard Expert challenges often show around a 30% chance to drop 1 Trait Burner on clear.

    • The best ones are short maps with simple enemies where you can finish runs rapidly and chain 4-5 clears per 30-minute rotation.

What to avoid

  • Avoid long or gimmicky challenge maps (very long waves, complex mechanics, or heavy air waves) because they tank your Trait Burners per hour even if rewards look good.

  • Skip challenges that do not show Trait Burners in the reward preview; they are better for gems or other resources, not rerolls.

Setup tips for faster clears

  • Use high-range hill/aoe carries (like Broly-type units) and farm units so you can auto-skip and run on 3x speed safely.

  • Run with a full squad and premade strategy so you can restart and re-queue instantly, aiming for short, repeatable clears over “hardest” content.
