Equip your best rod and bait, then cast repeatedly at glowing green spots inside the cave. Persistence pays off as rare Shamrock Fish appear there-catch enough to trade with the Traveling Merchant for the rod. Check the event timer in-game to time your visits right.
The Shamrock Rod is unlocked once you submit all five fishes to Clover McRich’s cauldron in Fisch. Clover McRich is the new NPC introduced in the Fisch lucky event and is located just behind Captain Ahab on the Moosewood Island. This NPC is relatively easy to locate due to the huge rainbow floating on top of his head.
Once you interact with Clover, he’ll ask your help in catching all his five brothers who got cursed and turned into fishes of five different colors. These fishes can only be caught inside the lucky pool that spawns every 30 minutes. So, make sure to keep an eye on the top of your screen, and once the text saying a Lucky Event has started in your server drops, spawn your shipwright and search for the pool. Quest Overview
Start by visiting Clover McRich on Moosewood Island (coordinates around 243, 130, 230), marked by a rainbow overhead, and accept his quest to rescue five leprechaun brothers turned into colorful fish. These fish-Blarney McBreeze (blue), O’Mango Goldgrin (orange), Sunny O’Coin (yellow), Rowdy McCharm (red), and Plumrick O’Luck (purple)-are caught exclusively from randomly spawning Lucky Event pools signaled by a server-wide chat message every 30 minutes.
Catching Process
Rush to the rainbow-marked pool (first player to catch wins), use Lucky Bait in Rain weather during Spring, and fish until you hook the brother matching the hat color above the pool. Return each catch to Clover’s cauldron; collect all five to unlock the rod.
Availability Note
As of January 2026, the event has ended, so the Shamrock Rod is no longer obtainable for new players. Existing owners enjoy its 25% Lure Speed, 150% Luck, 0.15 Control, 10% Resilience, 5000kg max, and 10% Clover mutation chance (4.5x value).
