The Magma Leviathan appears in the lava pond at Volcanic Vents within Mariana’s Veil. Players reach this spot by entering from Roslit Bay with a submarine, heading south from the Submarine Shipwright, then west past cave blocks, using an Advanced Glider for rock jumps. Coordinates X= -3175, Y= -2035, Z= 4020 pinpoint the area on the in-game GPS.
The Magma Leviathan is a part of the Volcanic Vents bestiary. This means that you cannot find this secret fish anywhere else on Fisch. To catch it, you first need to get a submarine in Fisch and reach the Volcanic Vents. Once you have it, enter Mariana’s Veil entrance and find your way to the vents. You can use GPS in Fisch and find the Volcanic Vents at the coordinates – X= -3175, Y= -2035, and Z= 4020.

How to Catch Magma Leviathan in Fisch
The Magma Leviathan in Fisch can be caught using high-tier gear such as the Inferno Rod or better, paired with Magma Bait, which greatly increases the chances of attracting it. This giant fish is found in volcanic or lava-themed waters, often near magma vents. Use heat-resistant equipment and maintain your balance to avoid taking damage from the environment. Timing your cast during peak heat cycles can improve success rates, so watch for bubbling magma spots before throwing your line.
The Magma Leviathan is one of the special fish in the game that has a cutscene once you catch it. To catch this fish in the game, you need to fulfill the following conditions:
- Only caught during the Summer season in Volcanic Vents
- PreferredBait: Truffle Worm (Found in Coral Geodes, Volcanic Geodes, or Fisch codes)
- Favorite Weather and Time: Foggy and Day
- Best Fishing Rods: Poseidon Rod, Rod of the Forgotten Fang, Heaven’s Rod
I used the Poseidon Rod with a Qualityenchantment to get the secret Magma Leviathan. While the preferred bait is Truffle Worm, even a bagel can get it (my editor was using it when he caught a leviathan). So, I will say even if it is a secret fish, if you have a good end-game rod, catching it won’t be hard. Once you have it in your inventory, do not sell it as it will be important to open the Scylla gate in Mariana’s Veil.
However, reaching the fishing pool in the Volcanic Vents will be a challenge. Staying longer in the fishing pool area is even more. We suggest you get the Glimmerfin Suit Lvl 1 from the Volcanic Vents challenge first. This way, you will have more resilience to the heat damage. To complete the first challenge, you’ll need one piece of the Lava Crystal, Inferno Hide, Blisterback Blenny, and Infernal Iguanafish.
