Teyvat’s latest chapter in Genshin Impact 5.3 sends players deep beneath the surface on a mission filled with hidden mechanisms, shifting paths, and a few surprises from familiar faces. Here’s how to complete the “Go Further In” quest without missing a single secret along the way.
One of the sub-quests during the ‘Journey of Star and Flames’ Archon quest is ‘Go Further In’, where you have to reach the other side of a cavern without any further details on how to do it, followed by another small puzzle. Genshin Impact ‘Go Further In’ Mission Guide
The “Go Further In” mission in Genshin Impact 5.3 continues the storyline introduced earlier in the update, challenging players to explore deeper into the new area while solving elemental puzzles and defeating tough enemies. Progressing through the quest requires activating specific mechanisms, following Seelies, and interacting with hidden devices to open sealed passages. Completing it grants adventure rewards, character experience, and valuable materials tied to the latest region’s progression system.
After talking to Chuychu during the quest, you will find yourself at the start of a massive cavern. You will need to reach the other side of the cavern without reaching the abyss. Once you have done that, you will have to solve the totem puzzle the unlock the next area. Both of these puzzles can be done by transforming into the Iktomisaurus. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to do it:
1. Use Invisible Platforms
First, transform into the Iktomisaurus present there and use the Special Elemental Sight. The keybind for the Elemental Sight can be checked from the keybind settings in case you don’t remember it. Once you use the special Elemental Sight, you will find hidden platforms to help you regain altitude and stamina. Use the Iktomisaurus’ jump ability to land on these platforms and make your way to the next area.
2. Find the Hidden Symbol
In the next area, you will three totems facing each other. Here you will have to first your the special Elemental Sight to detect the hidden symbol in one of the totems. After you have found the hidden symbol, use the Spiritspeaker state and scan the symbol to remove the platform below you. Now jump below to reach the 3rd area.
3. Fly Through the Circles
In the third area, all you need to do is transform into the Qucusaurus and fly to the next area. This is the easiest part of this puzzle, but if you are still struggling then make sure to fly through the circles using the Sprint key. Next, slow yourself when the cliffs try to block you and maneuver past them. Finally, dive using the attack key to reach the bottom to complete the quest.

How to use Iktomisaurus Elemental Sight in Go Further In
Using the Iktomisaurus’ Elemental Sight in “Go Further In” works almost exactly like your normal Elemental Sight, but only while you are indwelling the dinosaur and it reveals special hidden platforms and symbols.
Basic controls

First, indwell the Iktomisaurus Spiritsconce near the cavern/totem area so you are controlling the Iktomisaurus instead of your character.

While controlling it, press your usual Elemental Sight button (default: middle mouse on PC, L1 + D-Pad Left on PlayStation, Elemental Sight button on mobile). This triggers the special Elemental Sight for the Iktomisaurus.
Using it on the invisible platforms

Stand near the edge of the big cavern, then activate Elemental Sight: this will reveal floating, invisible platforms in front of you.

Jump or glide from platform to platform; if they disappear as you move, reactivate Elemental Sight repeatedly to keep them visible until you reach the other side.
Using it on the statue puzzle

In the next room with three totems/statues facing each other, use Elemental Sight again while still in the Iktomisaurus to reveal a hidden symbol on the middle statue.

After the symbol appears, aim the Iktomisaurus’ Elemental Skill directly at that symbol to make the statue and then the platform vanish, dropping you to the next area and progressing the quest.
If nothing happens when you use it, double-check that you are:

Currently indwelling the Iktomisaurus (not your normal character).

Pressing your regular Elemental Sight key, not its normal attack/charged attack.
What keybind activates Iktomisaurus Elemental Sight
Iktomisaurus Elemental Sight uses the same keybind as normal Elemental Sight for your platform; there is no separate key just for the dinosaur.

Hold middle mouse button (scroll wheel) to activate Elemental Sight, which also works while indwelling Iktomisaurus.
