The Glacial Sturgeon can be caught in the Cryogenic Canal region of the Northern Expedition. To get to this new island, you would require a boat. Once you have it, take it past the Harvester Spike. To the South of this rock lies the huge portal that will take you to the Northern Expedition.
Having arrived at the island, you must take the left path and climb up a few orange ladders to reach the second campsite. From here, walk straight, scale up the mountain, and take the snowy path to reach the third campsite. You may refill your Oxygen Tanks here and warm up yourself a bit before continuing the hike.
Now, walk straight from the campsite and along a bridge, and you will reach the Crystallized Rod puzzle. Take a left turn, cross another bridge, and take the right path.
