When is Fortnitemares 2025? Release Date Speculation

Fortnitemares 2025 is expected to arrive in mid-October, following Epic Games’ usual Halloween update schedule. In previous years, the event has launched around October 10-20, bringing limited-time modes, spooky map changes, and themed cosmetics. While Epic has yet to confirm exact dates, leaks suggest the update will roll out shortly after the v32.30 patch, keeping pace with Fortnite’s seasonal content rhythm. Players can anticipate teasers and trailer drops a week or two before the event officially begins.

Each year, Fortnite drops its much-awaited Halloween update on October 10, just three weeks before Halloween day. Last year’s update was also released during the same window. So this year, in 2025, expect Fortnitemares 2025 to start on Friday, October 10, 2025, in a brand new hotfix.

However, the content will remain in the game until November 1, as Chapter 6 Season 4 ends that day with a mini-event, which will bring the highly rumored Chapter 6 Mini Season 2 with a Simpson collab throughout Battle Royale.

Every Leaked Fortnitemares 2025 Collab

Leaks point to Fortnitemares 2025 teaming up with Stranger Things for Demogorgon skins and Upside Down weapons, plus a Five Nights at Freddy’s crossover featuring Freddy Fazbear and animatronic back blings. Insiders also tease a Resident Evil collab with Nemesis outfits and zombie hordes in the storm. Chucky from the horror films appears in rumored emotes and pickaxes, while Silent Hill brings Pyramid Head as a brutal melee specialist. These partnerships promise spooky cosmetics and limited-time modes before the October 29 update drops.

Jason Voorhees and Ghostface

The menacing killer from the Friday the 13th film series, Jason Voorhees, is rumored to come to Fortnite with Fortnitemares 2025 and is poised to get his own in-game skin.

Furthermore, Voorhees will also get his own medallion in the game that players will be able to claim to get special abilities. However, we speculate that the medallion will be a part of Blitz, similar to the One Punch Man medallion.

If you’re not a Jason fan and like Ghostface instead, fret not, because Ghostface is also rumored to be a part of Fortnitemares 2025 and will bring his own special mythic weapon called Stalker Knife along with him as an in-game outfit.

The character will also get his own medallion; however, it isn’t confirmed if it will be in the Battle Royale or a new mode altogether.

Scooby Doo

As per leaks, Scooby Doo is another popular collab that will make its way to the Item Shop during Fortnitemares 2025 event. In the collab, Scooby will get his own in-game skin, alongwith his best friend Shaggy, accompanying him with multiple skins or unique styles of his own.

That’s not all – his signature vehicle, the Mystery Machine, will also be added to the shop as a vehicle for players to get. It isn’t confirmed if the rest of the crew members, like Fred, Daphne, and Velma, will be getting their skins or not.

R.E.P.O

Popular survival horror game R.E.P.O. is also a strong contender to appear in Fortnite during its annual Halloween event, as it’s already leaked by trustworthy sources.

Key crossover outfits included Ghostface from Scream (October 10, 1,500 V-Bucks), Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th (October 17), Art the Clown from Terrifier (October 22), and Huggy Wuggy from Poppy Playtime (October 23). The Grabber from The Black Phone arrived on October 16, while Scooby-Doo characters like Shaggy, Scooby (October 11), Velma, Daphne, and Fred (October 18) came in cel-shaded styles with bundles around 2,000-3,400 V-Bucks.​

Other additions encompassed Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega from Netflix’s Wednesday, TBA late October with Thing back bling and dance emote), R.E.P.O. robot skins with edit styles (October 25), and a new Xenomorph variant from Alien: Earth (late October). K-Pop Demon Hunters skins like Rumi, Mira, and Zoey, plus Doja Cat as Mother of Thorns, rounded out the horror-themed roster.​

Original and Returning Skins

Original Fortnitemares designs featured twisted versions of Black Knight, Peely, Lucien, Joni (Red Ruin), and Helsie in the High Stakes Nitemares Pack (October 14). Returning favorites like Edward Scissorhands, Billy the Puppet, and Ash Williams also reappeared in the shop.​
