However, the latest addition to the cycles is Nighttime, when it literally turns dark. This is also when plants will get the new Grow a Garden Mutation called Moonlit.
Thankfully, this method doesn’t require you to spend anything. All you have to do is wait for the nighttime and hope some of your crops are struck with the Moonlit mutation. However, there is a way to speed up this process and almost guarantee the mutation in some plants. Keep reading down below.
This can be done by obtaining the Night Staff in Grow a Garden. For those unaware, the new staff is one of the rewards from the new Grow a Garden Lunar event. As such, you can’t get it from the gear shop. You can learn how to get the staff using our linked guide above.
Once you have it, place it anywhere in your garden. During a night event, the Night Staff will grant any six random crops the Moonlit mutation.

Night Staff in Roblox’s Grow a Garden is obtained as a reward during the Lunar Glow event by trading Moonlit fruits to the Wise Old Owl NPC at the map’s center. Reaching specific Lunar Point milestones unlocks it multiple times.
